Confidence Boost

Arizona State coach Dirk Koetter's compiled video of struggling quarterback Rudy Carpenter with his successes from 2005.
``I've said several times, we're not talking about a quarterback here who's not done it at this level,'' Koetter said. ``I just wanted to see for myself. It was so glaring, I kind of expanded that project. I cut out 66 pass plays with gains over 15 yards, with basically the same plays we've been running this year, where Rudy's just flawless - on the money, great body language. I just wanted Rudy to see. When everything starts crumbling around you, you start to think maybe the world's not round anymore, maybe it is flat.''

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
