Different Lines
Last week Washington State missed two offensive lineman and Coach Bill Doba said only one starter played the same position in the first four games.
This week, USC faces a Washington team where five offensive linemen have taken every snap of every game.
Meanwhile, USC coach Pete Carroll already showed the Trojans a quote from Washington safety Dashon Goldson (in previous entry). Here's a pragmatic quote from Husky linebacker Scott White.
"They're more realistic this year. They're more like a college football team now, where in the past, come on, with LenDale White and Reggie Bush and all those guys, that was an all-star team,'' White said.

Comments
Scott,
What is your intention as a reporter to emphasize these comments in a blog space? You're not providing the full context of either White or Goldson's remarks, as if you're just trying to stir up the Trojan nation? How big of a homer are you? Both comments from our guys were in reference to how virtually UNbeatable USC has been over the last couple years. Both players are being realistic and stating the obvious that USC has narrowly avoided upset of monumental proportions in the last two weeks, and they in life after Bush and Leinert. Instead of weeding out parts of commentary that could be construed as criticism, why don't you be a little more accurate with the context of what was said. And by the way Trojan fans, Isaiah Stanback WILL be the best athlethe on the field Saturday.

I would say Mr. White is 100% correct and thats not an insult to USC

Hey Mike in Seattle. Pragmatic means realistic. But Goldson's still an idiot. Just keep his mouth shut.

Calm down Seattle. The UW players said what they said. I'm not sure in what context you could say "they're pretty beatable" so that it doesn't sound disrespectful of an undefeated top CFB team.
Oh and Stanback is not Vince Young so don't get all "best athlete on the field" on us yet. Stanback is a good athlete but I would rate Maulauga above him every day and twice on Saturdays.

He may be the best athlete, but will he be the best quaterback? Also...if you don't like the blog don't waste time reading or posting on it!
