Going Deep

If there’s one thing USC will probably do Saturday, it’s going deep downfield. Washington ranks last in the Pac-10 in pass defense, surrendering 235.6 yards per game.

What a novelty....I'd love to see USC go deep!

NOT if Lame Kiffin can help it.....

Redcorn,
At least let the game happen before we rip Kiffin this week. And remember, any blame does need to be shared with Sarkisian. Just to be fair.

When I see it i'll believe it, deep so far has meant a 15 yard pass and a 25 yard run YAC

Agreed. Kiffin sucks it big time.

Please Pete, tell someone how much you still owe Monte so that we can buy your debt. Then finally, we can be rid of his idiot son.

Today they went deep to Steve Smith at least twice: first was overthrown and second was good for 50 yards. With Smith out, Mssrs. Hazelton and Patterson need to step up or they'll be going to the Junk Bowl on December 21st with three losses.

All this talk about Hazelton and Patterson not knowing the playbook. I say just put them in for 2 or 3 playboo situations - go long, go long and go long again. What is so easy about learning that, until they pick up the rest of the playbook? We need the deep pattern so bad. Unfortunately, we did not use it enough, since Washington was suspect to the long ball. I'm really confused about our play calling. Check that, not confused because it is so basic/routine, perhaps frustrated is a better word. I really miss the complex packages Norm Chow use to bring to the table.
