Garrett Green moved back to quarterback Tuesday because Mark Sanchez feels lower back stiffness. Mike McDonald will be the backup if Sanchez was unable to play.

Imagine this guy scrambling!!! Green has running back speed, track & field speed, fastest white boy you've ever seen.
Why don't we use him like Florida uses Tebow? Bring him in on option plays, QB draw, surprise pass plays. This guy is a very dangerous QB that we need to develop...

Criminal?? Mark Sanchez was probably a victim of racism. As I recall the mother of this girl who allegdly got raped called the police upon hearing his name and probably thought Sanchez was some dirty Mexican. Mark and his family should have filed a countersuit.

Oh boy I was hoping I wouldn't have to hear the "whiteboy" phrase on here...Oh well.
Anyway, GG was a 3 star recruit, which is low by USC standards. They tried him at QB when he first came in and let's just say...he was moved fairly shortly after to DB. He has no where near the arm or accuracy of Tebow. Although I guess we could use him pretty much as another RB, which is what Tebow is doing until he matures a little.
In other words, hope Sanchez is back soon!!

Hey Patrick,
How many stars was Matt Grootegoed? Once a guy is on campus, it really doesn't matter. Some (Whitney Lewis) guys try to get by on talent alone, which doesn't well at this level. Some just can't seem to stay healthy (Jeff Byers) and will never realize their potential. Then you have the talented but lazy (Manny Wright). Point is, those star ratings are a only snap shot of an athlete's perceived ability. They don't measure intelligence, character or work ethic. As for Green, he will not likely play any this year or next, but he is athletic and seems to have some of the above intangibles. Besides, Pete kept him from going crosstown, which is always a good thing.

yeah that's a good point Nels...I get a little carried away with the scout.com "how many stars" thing...
What they need to do is:
S. Havili is coming back next week. Put him at FB, move A. Bradford to Safety. To say we are thin at safety is the understatement of the year. With Will Harris and Pinkard hurt, and Green continually bouncing back and forth between Safety and QB, there isn't much behind the starters except A. Perez and J. Williams.
CJ Gable said when he came in he would rather play defense. Put him at safety and kick returner. Have Washington and Moody be the starting RB's, with Reed and Johnson backing him up.
Safety depth problem is solved, everyone gets to play, everyone is happy
