Guess He Was Right

Back in April, USC coach Pete Carroll said the only thing the Trojans missed was tailback Reggie Bush, not LenDale White or Matt Leinart.
Last year, USC scored 32 touchdowns of at least 21 yards or longer. This year, after six games, the total is 0.

My two cents is that as much as we miss Reggie Bush, we miss Matt even more

Why?

Poise
Touch
Accuracy
Ability to read defenses
Could throw to multiple receivers

Reggie Bush was the most dominant player on our team. No doubt about it. Big play potential always.

When did he say that? and in what context?

I agree with TrojanHorse, especially after seeing what Leinart did on Monday night, in addition to what we've seen from John David Booty thus far. Taking nothing away from Booty, perhaps we all took Leinart's performance last year, particularly his poise and leadership, for granted.

Reggie was the Barry Bonds of College Football. Every time he touched the ball, everybody held their breath waiting for the spectacular to happen. It might be a number of years before we see another Reggie Bush again. I cried when he decided to leave early, because I knew we were witnessing one of the best college players ever.

Alot of Reggie's success last year was due to the threat that Leinart posed, and vice versa. Last year's team was mature, experienced and had that, oh so, important game 'chemistry' that kept defenses off balance and was able to pull rabbits out of the're hats when necessary.
This years team is young, inexperienced and the massive amount of injuries have kept them from developing any sort of chemistry.
Then again; Leinart, Bush, White, Jarrett Justice, Bing, Matua, Coach Carroll, etc. etc. It might be awhile before 'any' program has a combination like that again. High expectations might be fun, but one must be also be realistic.

You make it sound like Carroll said he does not miss Leinart or White. He never said that. What he indicated was that Bush was more important to USC scoring and making big plays then the others. Once again you took something out of context trying to make USC and Carrol look bad and to stir the pot. You truly are a hack.
