Steve Smith has a first-degree ankle sprain, which means he has a chance to play this week. Dwayne Jarrett's shoulder is not considered worse after playing yesterday.
Taylor Mays (shoulder stinger) is supposed to practice Monday while Chilo Rachal (ankle) is expected to start practicing full-time at some point this week.

Steve Smith deserves a shout. Mr. Clutch. No ego. A Champion. He's the kind of team-brother who watches your back. Great example to the underclassmen. Runs great routes, catches everything.

"Sticky-Hands Smith" would be a good nickname for him.

Make it Reign in the desert buddy...

I sure would like to see us try a couple other people at free safety. Mays will be good some day but right now he's so lost it's actually a bit sad. Anyone at the Coliseum with a view of the whole field could see him running around pre-snap trying to figure out where he was supposed to be while all the other defenders were set. He got burned on the first Wash td when he wasn't covering his man on the pass and then was running towards the receivers pre snap on the big run up the middle where he didn't fill his gap.
I would like to see Mozique McCurtis get a shot at some FS. Maybe a platoon, because he seems to have some serious instincts. Reminds me a little of Pinkard.
