It's Official

Popular radio host Petros Papadakis resigned from 1540-AM today. Papadakis is going to pursue other interests because the future of the radio station remains up in the air since it was recently sold and is no longer the flagship station of USC football.

Comments

Who cares!

Petros was one of the best things going on that station. I wish he had an email link so we could send him notes of encouragement. Radio is much less colorful... and more safe... without him...
where else can we go on the dial "where everyone is welcome and no one is safe"?

710 are you there???????

Thank goodness! Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Trojan fan and 'SC homer, but Petros hosted what had to be the most hideous radio show on the planet. Other than having better access to USC Football than most (Pete Carroll and Scott Wolf interviews , etc.), the other minutes that filled his time slot were about as easy to listen to as a sickened pack of hyenas mating in the high desert somewhere.

Hopefully Prime Ticket will drop their Pac10 football coverage so I don't have to watch him on the locally televised SC games, either.

Petros is the best thing on local radio. Don't hate. If 710 were smart, they'd slot the 'ol P. into the Gary & DiMarco timeslot.

that is whack. 1540 sucks ass, the P was their only host who actually entertained in his show. Maybe they'll just bank all their dreams on the two live stews, who suck even more than the station itself.

maybe the P and fred roggin, the only two who were actually any good on 1540, could start their own show or radio station...

I've been expecting this. Where is Petros going to end up?

You morons don't realize Petros had the best show on sports talk radio, period.

He will be on somewhere soon.

Petros was the only thing good about 1540.

I hope he gets picked up locally. I really enjoyed listening to him on SC FB.

I can see how if you are not an SC fan you would hate him though. However I am an SC fan and want to hear him again.

For some reason though, he isn't quite as good on the tube

The dude's wikipedia page is hilarious!

This sucks! I loved Petros' show. He is a real Trojan. All the bashing that goes on around him is downright ignorant.

I too wish we had an email address to say a word of encouragment. I wrote him an email @1540 today, but I doubt he'll get that.

I could see him doing the sports for Kevin and Bean in the AM at the least until he gets his own show again (like Money did). They had him on once as just a guest host.

Petros had some good takes when it came to college football and sports but I couldn't stand the Lance Romance thing or the Pop Culture report or that dumb celebrity fight thing. It just wasn't funny nor interesting. It had nothing to do with sports. I found myself changing the station and coming back hoping he was going to get back some sports topic.

I had no problem with most of P-Daddy's outrageousnous -- he was working very hard at being different. The thing is, he didn't need to be that way. Much of his reporting is excellent. He has a great rapport with his guests and frequently gets information that you know wouldn't otherwise be divulged -- 'cept for his smooth and irresistable ways. Whatever.

I do hope that he hooks up with another radio station, but I won't hold my breath. He could easily survive if he just toned it down a little. He doesn't need to prove anything, or strive to "be me!" Let the stories be the star.

The Spirit of Monte Furuya lives !!!

Fight On !!!!!!!!!!

Petros was terrible.

That’s the problem…you’re a HUGE SC fan and “homer so you don’t want to hear somebody challenge issues within your favorite program…thank god for Petros and Wolfy for bringing some clarity…I’m sure you people were all over Deshaun Foster and the rest of those handicap placard Bruins when they were on top and had their issues…but when Reggie’s parent’s scurry out of that house like cockroaches and insists that the “truth will come out when it’s appropriate…you defend him as if he did nothing wrong…as if that kind of greed and lack of respect for his coaches, teammates, and all SC fans in general is acceptable because he made a lot of big plays…watching Bush average 2 yards a carry and be relegated to the new Desmond Howard in the NFL is even more worthwhile…

Dear Roger Nadel (or whoever the resident nitwit/parent company is that is now calling the shots at 1540),

You have done a great job with your programming. Not renewing your deal with USC and putting Notre Dame football on a network full of SC listeners was genius. And “beautiful call putting some of the least knowledgeable, recycled, unfunny, no talent national hosts like Tony Bruno and the Two Live Stews on a great local station. Alright, Alright Alright? Now without Petros, the only move you have left to ensure that you lose all of your loyal local listeners is to fire “national Dave Smith (you already destroyed a far superior product in “local Dave Smith). I hear David Lee Roth or Dennis Miller are available for the afternoon drive to replace the P. Or better yet you should just switch to a Spanish station. You will get better ratings and the programming will probably sound a whole lot better.

Sincerely,
Another Former Listener

Additionally, good for Petros for getting off that sinking ship...first it was Rogan, then it was SC, then Felix the Cat, and now Petros! Say it ain’t so! Now where are we going to find the witty banter between Wolfie and P-Daddy? How are we going to get dating advice from Lance Romance? Where are we going to hear about the Superbaby and Peninsula High School Football? How are we supposed to win free dinners to the Taverna?

CV and Shawn Howard: Petros’ show is like a fine wine for someone that is accustomed to drinking Budweiser. It is an acquired, dry taste, that gets better with age, and takes a little bit of sophistication and culture that the common sports fan sometimes lacks.

great, just great. first 1540 messes up the afternoon lineup by moving dave smith to the morning. now the only good program on the air in the afternoon is gone too. i will have to bring my ipod to work everyday now.

maybe 570 can drop those two stiffs that host with money in the afternoon and pair him with the p. money and the p would be great. they are already friends so the chemistry would be there.

What petros is to bougie for GREAT sport talk? Sack up P!!

That really sucks!!!!! I loved his show all you haters are simple that HATERS!!!! And I know for a fact that the most of you only hate him because he is not a homer like you all losers are. Go back to wearesc this board is for objective SC fans not geeks who want to act like they know more about football than former players and the host of this blog.

LBC Rob

Kelly Richardson sounds like an ass!! Petros was the best thing on the radio. Petros has the most electrifying personality on radio. I couldn't wait to hear his off beat comments and songs of the day. In a bland culture of tight ass radio talk show hosts, Petros was the exception to the rule with his in your face antics. Hopefully, he will end up on another radio station where we can tune in to the only sports caster with expertise on college football especially the pac 10. The P will land on his feet. People always recognize talent and he is definantley talented! Well, I only listened to 1540 to hear Petros, so viva la vista 1540 as I will no longer be a listener.

Screw 1540am !!!

What the heck are NYC Trojans to do? Listen to WFAN...HELL NO !

"Hit em in da head !!!"

Ray
SC, Class of 98 !

Fight On P !

That sucks. I hope 710 picks him up. As far as these people dissing Petros, you just don't get the show. No need to bash... how about you don't comment instead. Stop hating

"your a hater"...haha, petros was truely a talent...obviously not for everyone, but definately made the drive home very enjoyable. petros will be missed. hopefully he'll get picked up somewhere else. have fun listening to arnie spanier.

Memo to 710 ESPN,

Please, please hire Petros. You could replace Gary and DiMarco with Petros or put the P on following Peanut Head and Mason. Without question, Petros is the best, most original talent in the sports talk radio niche, a genuine star.

All of these haters aside, I hope that he finds a new home on LA Radio soon, he is the best sports talk host in LA bar none. Time for 710 to step up.

The P had the most unique sports radio show on the air, and that's what made it great. It was not a "hardcore" sports talk show, but it was GREAT sports talk. His combo of sports and pop culture was great. The world needs more Petros' and less Tony Bruno's (35 years in the business) and Mark Willard's. The P will be sorely sorely missed and I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors, but Petros is very talented and will land on his feet, I have no doubt about that.

pedros is hard to look at on tv and needs to stop eating at the family restaurant and do some laps around cromwell.

So Shawn, you would rather listen to Arne Spaniard instead? Not only does he not support the PAC 10 (even though he was AZ wildcat) but instead rave and rant about the SEC especially Auburn all of last week and then they got their ass kicked by Arkansas. This guy is an idiot!!!!

Petros can be annoying at times but at least he keeps it entertaining for some of us to get through the long commute home on the wretched LA freeways.

It's a big loss.

Fight on!

this is horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. Petros man...I looked forward to you from 4-7 everyday. Man this busts....

Petros, if you're reading this, know that your fans love you and have missed you since last week. We hope you can follow through on your intentions and are able to get back on the air sometime soon. Hell, who's going to quote Bill Yeats, Conor Oberst and the Don in the same hour. You were the best thing on sports talk radio -- no, that's not damning with faint praise -- if not the best thing on the commercial dial. All the best.

Email 710 to get petros on the air.

Long live the P! Long live the P!

We'll all miss the uniques drops and Lumberjack style sports talk!

Bring back the P! Bring back the P!

FYI - The 1540 Website(www.1540theticket.com/main.html)lists the following emails if anyone is interested in voicing their opinion:

1540 Feedback - 1540theticket@1540theticket.com

VP/General Manager - rnadel@1540theticket.com

Thank goodness! I would cringe at the sound of the man's whiney, nasal intonations. The worse part was having to listen to him pontificate on how rotten certain people at USC have been to him...hey P...maybe it is you that is the problem! Now if they'd only get rid of that crazy ass Bruno. He can only talk about two things, Philadelphia and pornography. That's one dirty old man...

i loved having a Trojan on the airwaves but that show stunk.

thank goodness its being removed.

For those of you that tuned in to hear sports and sports talk, you had the wrong show. Sports was about 40% of the show... and the rest was nonsense, and that why we loved it. I'm a Trojan fan, but it was always refreshing to hear the truth about some of our heroes. Long live the P.

I think you all need to read the original post. Petros quit and in the process hung his producer and all the board operators out to dry. He DID NOT get fired!!!

The old P is going to have to move to 710 where USC now calls home. I just wish Dave Smith would move too. Smith was and still is the best show on 1540 just in a crappy time slot. Who listens to radio from 10am to 1pm? Unemployed people!

What a shock. But perhaps it shouldn't be because I know the P-daddy's contract was up at the end of the year, and it seems as if good ol 1540 is in a cost-cutting mode. You know Petros would have been in line for a hefty raise.
What I like about the guy is that he has that high-intelligence but yet is vulnerable. I went to his race in Santa Monica with "Corndog", and after Petros lost, he had this silly grin on his face, as if he had faced losing before. I told him that there were no losers in that race, but I don't think he heard me. I am a 60-year old Troy alum, and yet I felt this 28-year old was a good acquaintance of mine.

Re 1540,

Bruno is ok in the morning but I would rather listen to Colin Cowherd.

Dave Smith is great (especially when he was local) but its tough to swith between him, Dan Patrick, and Rome.

D'Marco and Gary are ok but talk too much NFL and Angels. Stews suck, as do Hartman, Mychal, and Vic the Moron. Move Dave Smith here to this spot.

Petros was certainly better than the 570 crew. (Money should do that show by himself and I hate to say it, Wayne Cook. At least Wayne Cook is fair toward SC.) Joe Grande is muy malo.

I always enjoyed Petros more when he was just starting out and did his thing with Matt Stevens on TV. That was entertaining. I also remember how excited he was on the post game after the 01 and 02 USC/UCLA games. Hope he finds a job soon but is not as outlandish because he does have good insight and commentary and can be very funny.

I, for one, will truly miss Petros. I worked with him for two years at 1540 The Ticket. One thing he's not, is predictable or politically correct. But he is one of the most colorful and unique characters I've been around professionally. He's extremely intelligent, but manic at the same time. That's what makes him interesting. One thing people don't know about Petros is that deep down, he's a sensative guy. He brought a lot of life and laughter to my afternoons at the Ticket. When I announced my departure last week, he gave me a sincere hug and said he'd miss me. I worked at WFAN in the beginning with some of the best, but "The P" is definatley in a league of his own. I truly doubt that KSPN will do anything with him. I think the desision maker there will go the safe, predicatble path that ultimately makes for just "average" and frequently less than compeling radio. In the P's world, truly everyone was welcome, but indeed NO ONE was safe. Besides, it's not how capable you are in this business these days, it's who you know and who you're pals with. I'm hanging it up with LA Radio after 14 years and heading back to my home in the East. One thing for sure is that Petros will be one of those young guys I know we'll be seeing and hearing more of - watch for the next season of "Pros Vs. Joes" on Spike TV. See you on down the road P! All My Best. - Jeff

Nice going Nadel, 1540 can say so long to my preset!

Papadakis has been "Off the Wall," for sure.
I have been embarrased to have people know that he is a Trojan.
His radio broadcasts have contained little sports information and lots of irrelevant blabber. I am glad he is off the radio. He does a better job on TV.

BIG P IS GOING TO BE A STAR!!!!
HIS MEMORY OF THINGS BLOWS ME AWAY P IS VERY SMART AND FUNNY
HE IS SO GENERATION X
REGURLAR SPORTS TALK IS SO BORING IS TWIST WILL BE MISSED!!! NO ONE COULD REPLACE THIS GUY
WHATEVER HE ENDS UP DOING BIG P IS GOING TO BE A STAR!!! I HOPE HE COMES BACK TO RADIO I WILL MISS HIS MUSIC CHOICES AND ALL THE FUN!!!!

I knew this day was coming. Over the last few weeks the P has been preppin' us for his exit. Of course, 1540 can't replace him- Petros is without a doubt the most capitivating voice in L.A. sports radio. I would love to hear him at 570, or 710, but no one will allow him to be himself- 1540 was the perfect place to hear him be the P. He would not do a lobotimized show for the Mouse on 710- that's like Cool Hand Luke giving the warden a happy ending. Oh well, it had to come to an end sometime. But P- what about the Movie Reviews and Lance Romance? Man, that's bootleg ........

hahahahaha!

Look I want you to know that Iam so happy that this clown and his clown daddy are off the air. What he needs to do is to go work for Howard Stern. Because in this particular forum he is just an ass clown to me. And I don't find him funny. Good riddance. Dave Smith is the best out there because he comes across sincere and is not too full of himself like petros the clown.

Re: "I have been embarrased to have people know that he is a Trojan." - This is a post from Turk. Turk, you're a complete idiot and moron. If you were close to USC, you certainly wouldn't come up with a lame comment like that. YOU should be embarrassed for making that statement! Just an FYI, the Papadakis clan has quite the history at USC, not only in football. I doubt you have any connection at all to USC other than wish you knew somebody that went there.

Petros will be missed. It takes true creativity to do a weekday show like he did, and still make each day unique and fresh. I loved not only his SC talk, but also his Songs Inspired By... (the Halloween song done to the beat of The Geto Boys' "Mind Playing Tricks On Me" was classic) and hip hop and reggae to signal the beginning of each segment. When other hosts play hip hop each segment, it just doesn't feel authentic, like you expect me to believe these crusty old WASPs listen to Nas or Kanye or Cam'Ron. No way. But with the P, you know he plays stuff he actually listens to, like we all would if we had our own radio shows. His rants on Leinart and Reggie were funny, as long as he wouldn't take it too far. Yeah, he's jealous of them, but he's entertaining nonetheless. Me, I'm only jealous of Hugh Hefner.

He just has so much enthusiasm on the air, it's palpable. What other host does Movie Reviews (the "Star Wars" bit was my favorite), and I don't know if he originated it, but I had never heard of The Committee before him ("and when I say 'Committee', you know what Committee I'm talking about! The Itty-Bitty-Titty-Committee!" just riled me up). Loved when he would just break out into song in the middle of conversations, without a hint of self-consciousness - it was wonderful. Out of hundreds of Trojan Football Players since 1990 who never got a whiff of a pro football career, who else has remained so relevant, and to us fans, so famous?

I also like him because we're the same age (b. 1977), so when he waxes nostalgic about growing up in the 80s and 90s in SoCal, I'm really feeling him.

710, you've gotta whack Gary & D'Marco (esp. Mr. Farr - he's a Goddamn U-Dub Husky & St. Louis Ram, yuck! Now he gets to interview Coach Carroll and act like he's a Trojan all along, like the cacaphonous-voiced Mark Willard used to do). Well, Lorenzo Orr sold out once, playing a U-Dub hoopster in that waste of celluloid "The Sixth Man." I don't like dudes jumping ship like that, changing their college colors whenever convenient. 710, if you are smart, and I think you are, when you hire Petros, just don't make him compete in the afternoons with radio god Tom Leykis. Petros, like John Clayton, ESPN's Sr. NFL writer, should be heard and not seen.

Petros, we'll be hearing you on the air soon enough. I met you at LAX at 2am that season-opening night in '03 after the Trojans whipped Auburn 23-0, and you were really cool (I was the only guy there). You my man, P!

I found this on PetroBlog from WeArePac10.com

Greetings fellow PacTenians How do you do? This is the P-Daddy aka The P or Peetros. As many of you are aware I have resigned from my post as afternoon host at 1540 The Ticket so I can focus on television projects like Game Show Network's Greek Games. I've also picked up several lunch shifts (Bussing) at the Taverna. Despite all that, my economic situation is not looking good. I made the difficult decision choosing between a 200k television job or another year at 100k+ on the radio. It was difficult wrenching decision but after much thought, I chose the 200k. Hence, fellow pactenites, I'm only up 100 percent. I'm not going to log on here and ask for handouts, handguns, or even handjobs. However, the P needs your help. If you know anyone who could who could find work for an overweight (though down 25 pounds), droopy eyed, lysping, 29 year old hairy greek, please contact me. Although, I am far from broke, I did have to part with a used game worn Lee Webb jersey on Ebay the other day. At first it had no bids but after relisting I was able to shill up the high bidder to 8.35 and then I charged 7 dollars to ship but it cost me only 4. Never doubt the P's ingenuity. If you go to ebay.com right now you can bid on my college playbook signed by Paul Hackett.

I commute to USC from the San Fernando Valley
M - F. This week has been unbearable. BRING BACK THE P!

Petros is a huge non-conformist. He loved to hate on popular opinion. I could sense from many of his shows recently that he was daring management to fire him... he won't change for anyone, which ended up getting him off the air. He demands to do things his way, which may hurt him when (and if) he gets another gig.

I'm not even a USC fan. But I totally loved the P. I remember calling him and telling him I had a crush on him!! He was the biggest sweetheart. awww I miss him already. Those who didn't like him didn't understand him. I hope to hear him on the radio very very soon....

Wolf's blogsite has to be ready to implode with the number of postings on this story. This guys' resignation has brought more comments than SC's uninspired play over the past two weeks.

Did you hear that Petros fans? That was something called "objectivity" that I used to make an observation about 'SC football, something you are obviously lacking when it comes to your impassioned pleas about the greatness of Papadakis.

No Richard, I wasn't all over UCLA's handicap parking fiasco and wasn't making excuses for Reggie Bush's parents and their indiscretions. The only person still ranting about those issues seems to be you. However, I dare say that Reggie Bush will have a greater impact on the NFL in his lifetime than Petros will ever have on the media industry during his. And Reggie Bush averaging 2 yards a carry? Last time I checked, he had just returned a punt for the game winning touchdown on a team that finished next to last out of 32 teams last year, but is currently 4-1 and in sole possession of first place in its division. The same Reggie Bush who is leading the entire league in receptions and was passed over by the Houston Texans for Mario Williams. The same Houston Texans that are 1-3 and currently on the phone with their former G.M. Charlie Casserly asking him what the hell he was thinking when he passed over Reggie on draft day.

And no, SC Fan, I am not listing to the Moronic Arnie Spamyard, or whatever his name is that's taking Petros' place on the radio station formerly known as 1540 a.m. That guy's bounced around more radio stations than a pinball in a Pachinko machine and is sure to ride that Titanic Radio Station down into the abyss. I'm just happy that for the brief 3 seconds that I mistakenly tune my radio preset to 1540 in the afternoons that some guy's not going to be screaming back at me about some freaking cat, his father's restaurant, or some fictitious lounge lizard made in his own image...

Thank god for that punt return because before that play Bush had a total of 20 carries/catches for a whopping 83 yards...he got loose on that ONE punt return but he has virtually no big play explosiveness in the NFL from the line of scrimmage...he's Dave Meggett...a poor man's Brian Westbrook...leading the league in receptions as a running back who is the most hyped player to ever enter the NFL and average only 7 yards with those catches makes you a SCAT back...no more no less...he’s first in receptions but he’s not even in the top 30 in yards…and NO reception touchdowns…and three of those Saints wins were vs. the Browns, Packers, and Bucs...with a combined record of 2-12...great story but not really that impressive...let's see where this team ends up...Reggie was a great college player but in the NFL he's nothing more than Peter Warrick and Desmond Howard...so nice punt return Reggie!...congrats Reggie Bush fans only have a punt return to hang their hat on…what’s next SC running playground fake field goals vs. Washington at home?

At least I can take 1540 off my preset dial.

So how many of us say "the ittybitty----committee" real fast or "TONIGHT" real loud?

This is terrible! He was the only original voice in sports talk in all of Socal. The fact that he was so polarizing is exactly why we need him on the air.

With SC football current sucess on the field and the Petros on the radio five days to discuss its been a great run.

Good luck to you in whatever you do.

PS. Thanks for being there for all us SC fans to talk about the loss to Texas for so many weeks after the game, we neeed the reasurance that everything would be OK and we would all survive the offseason. No other talk show did that.

THis sucks!! We want P nupp We want P nupp!!!

The "P" was unique and talented and crossed racial, social, economic lines and related to everyone if you listend to his show and expected to listen to a sports talk show you might as as well change the station "P" was about entertaining the people and remember he did the show "for the kids" Petros hope we here from you soon on any station !!!!

Get this - I actually don't like USC (I don't hate em er anything, I'm just from south carolina and we got our own USC) but I LOVED Petros. He had the most original sports radio show in the country - and finally a place where us LAKER HATER CLIPPER LOVERS could call home, as well as a million other things that made his so special. I was wondering where he was the last weeks and finally had time to do the research and confirm my fears today.
Man i'm sad he's gone.

I couldn't tolerate Petros at first, but the guy just grew on me.

You wouldn't listen to his show with "hard sports talk" in mind. When I learned to do that, I realized how entertaining he was. Fun like that "drinking brews with the fellas" kind of way, cracking jokes, and BSing. He did have the best SC coverage.

I hope to hear him back on soon.

tell me if I am wrong but 710 is disney and ESPN right? Petros wont blend with disney and the fact that he works for Fox may make things hard for ESPN to pick him up. Sorry to break the news but I doubt we will hear him for a bit. I loved that guy, he made my commute home fun. Ever since Dave Smith lost his sack and "the corn" since he went national, I dont think 1540 will do so well. I like entertainment with my sports and now we aint got shizzle. No dave and no P. P was for the people and he entertained the people. VIVA LA RAZA! Miss Ya P.

I would like to hear from Petros regarding his future in radio. I doubt he can do anything until his contract expires at the end of the year. I would think the most logical place is 570 since it is the local Fox affiliate, however he may have to do morning drive since Mancow is their only crap show during the day although I am not really a fan of their other stuff.

Petros, we will miss you and keep your fans informed one way or the other when the time is right. The afternoons are just not the same without you.

forget sports radio petros your bigger than that. here are the main three in a glance,1540 let u go, the only other 1 man host show 570 can handle is an unfunny commic nammed rome, 710 is full of suits with ties and pricks in their... well just make your own station. better yet just go 2 the kevin @ bean show i hear they need a sports guy

"My name is Paul and that's between you all" as P would say when I called in.
His show was unique. I loved it. For those of you posting negative comments- who cares! You didn't have to listen.
His show was the best thing going on 1540. When they moved to the 4:00 spot, I knew the end would be near.
Petros- if you read these messages- thank you for the ride. I hope you return to the radio so we can be a part of your life.

As a Bruin fan even I loved listening to the P.
He is honest and funny and by far the best local sports talk show host. I am tired of the local hosts who kiss the rear of whatever team they cover. From all the reaction on this post I hope he will be back soon or at least on KROQ in the morning.

Petros sucks. He is from a fake conference and he went to USC. He does not give the SEC any credit because he went to USC. The SEC is the strongest conference with the strongest teams, and it is impossible to go undefeated in the SEC.

I was very disappointed by this news. I had listened to his show since his emergence as of one of the best sports radio host in Southern California. I go back to the days of Bud Furrollo and Jim Healy, those guys had personality and that’s what Petro’s has. He was from USC but he was objective and being a Bruin fan I respected him for that.I looked forward to Perto’s show in mornings and when he moved to drive time. I don’t see how you will ever replace a personality like that? I will try and continue to listen but it’s just not the same. Did he go to another station? Can you send me a link of how to get in touch with him?

who will give love advise, and other things that don't nessesaraly have to do with sports ? we have plenty of that!!

Dam P we miss you !

"The City The Ciudad" just lost its best talk host we wil miss the "P"

i'm sad. this sucks.

Anyone know a site that archived his shows? That was some classic radio, that we're never going to hear again. Petros is to big for radio. He's gonna blow up world-wide. He'll be geeking it on the movies all Hollywood.

Honestly- I hated the P when I arrived in LA, and LOVED the P when I left. I even listened for a while online until 1540 took him off. Wherever the guy ends up, I'll absolutely listen on line again. He was that entertaining

Petros come back! LA RAZA NEEDS YOU. The yucatecos from HP, the Chapines in Inglewood, The Guanacos in Pico Union we all miss you man. Youre the only radio man in L.A. to show us some love.... 710,Bruno,Ireland, and Willard are too corny for LA RAZA we need the P!

Petros is simply the most talented, unique, and innovative personality on sports talk radio. Way too good to be confined to local sports. I will miss him.

Petros, if you read this, I was the nervous guy in the red plaid shirt late night after poker at Morongo. GBV did start it all, but you should give Uncle Tupelo another shot. Thanks for hanging out with me.

This is just the beginning for you. The world is ready.

I don't get to listen during football season becaus of working hours. Boy was I pissed to find Petros gone. He was the best thing on LA radio. he should be on national or satellite. I'd pay to get it. the references which evidently went over half the hater's heads alon were ilarious. One point I disagree on is I think Tony Bruno is great too. Everyone beyond those two is very boring even when they try to be outrageos.

The P will be missed. I come back from college and this is what I find out? That 1540 the ticket has gone down the drain, and The P has resigned?!?! This is the worst christmas gift a guy could ask for.

Here's how good the P was:
I'm a Bruin fan
I hate peninsula high school with every bone in my body.

But still, the P was able to win me over. Thanks for all the great memories P! We'll miss you!
