Jarrett Latest

Wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett will suit up and said "if they need me I will play."
But Jarrett (sprained shoulder) said he is only 70 percent recovered and if it's not necessary, he would wait another week.
"It's up in the air," Jarrett said.

Good stuff as usual, Scott. Personally, I think DJ should take another week off and heal up for the tough games down the stretch.

FYI for the Pac-10 fans...I'll be live blogging both USC-UW and Cal-Oregon...should be a crazy, drunken marathon.

Looks like Scott's Top 25 ballot is right on track! Let's see, this past week he had Florida State ranked #14 after an impressive 3 point win vs. unranked Miami, a come-from-behind 7-point home win against powerhouse Troy, a huge victory over Rice and a loss against unranked Clemson. After losing to unranked NC State (which itself lost to Akron and Miss. St.), I'm waiting with baited breath to see where Scott ranks them this week. I'm guessing in the top 10. Hey, they showed a lot against NC State and almost won!

I like this plan for DJ, if SC needs him, then we are in trouble anyways, if not, why even risk it

DJ is needed at 100% starting with the ASU game (actually not but that gives him another 2 weeks)

PETE WD BE NUTS TO USE DJ AT ALL AND RISK BIGGER INJURY---DJ SAID HE WAS ONLY 70% AND THAT MEANS LESS---- USC CAN FIND GOOD GUYS TO STEP UP--
SMITH--TURNER--HAZEL-- AND FRED DAVIS--?? NO NEED TO HURT THE PRIZE OF TROY?

OK, so will DJ start against Arizona St? Is he 1005 yet?

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
