USC coach Pete Carroll said he and defensive coordinator Nick Holt never clash about whether the Trojans should blitz more.
``When Nick was at Idaho, he blitzed just as much as we do now,'' Carroll said.

Speaking of coaches, good in-depth (50 minute) interview today with Charlie Weis on WFAN (NYC sports radio).

Allows you to hate him just a little less.

Impossible to hate Charlie Weis less.

They blitz all the time, we already know that. Does it accomplish anything? Nope.

Maybe that's why Holt's record was 5-18 at Idaho. We should be blitzing way more - I hate the cover-2 in college.

I love how people rip on Holt like he was so horrible at Idaho. I believe the comment was made at how they are doing so well this year now that they have a better coach at the helm in Erickson. But who's recruits are those players? A few examples are Carroll's first year here. Or how about The Coke machine over in Miami winning a national title with someone elses players. What is he doing now? The fact is Idaho aint easy to get players too. He is a good defensive coach and will be a good head coach in the future wheh given another chance.

Do you guys hate winning 50 out 52 games?
