On The BCS

USC coach Pete Carroll is not concerned the Trojans dropped to No. 3 in the BCS rankings this week.
``I thought the week off was supposed to help us,'' Carroll joked. ``But I'm not worried about. I'm worried about winning the Pac-10. This just shows how close a lot of the teams are right now.''
If USC wins the rest of its regular-season games, it will finish in the top two and advance to the championship game.

nothing to it, but to do it.....!!! see ya in glendale.....

Scot
how can you rank a team that struggles against a team the SC beats by 18 ahead of them? Texas gets very lucky to beat Nebraska by two and in your wisdom you rank them ahead of us. What is your logic?

Proof positive of Pete's loser attitude. You should care Pete!!!
The sky is falling and all Pete can do is act like he doesn't give a damn. So help me if we get into the NC game and get listed as an underdog I am done with this loser program.

Norm Chow for President.

'The sky is falling...' - you are unbelievable, Redcorn. I really hope we do go into the NC game as an underdog, (which is very possible if we go 12-0 and so does OSU/Michigan,) so you can move onto another program soon.

If we win convincingly vs. the Beavers and Stanford, we should be back at #2 at 8-0. And if we go 12-0 or 11-1, we'll definitely get the NC title game or Rose. Or one of the other 3 BCS bowls. With all those loses to the NFL from last year's team, this would not be a doomsday scenario from any realistic perspective, you wacko....

Hey Cal and Oregon (and just about everyone else that has been dogging SC the past several weeks):

Washington and Washington State don't look too bad anymore, eh?

I love it that when SC wins in late-minute games that everyone talks about how horrible they are, but when Cal needs overtime to beat a Washington team with their starting QB injured, it's a "character game".

Whatever.

Yeah Geoff and Cal looks like crap anyway...so does Oregon..why is everyone in the country convinced we are going to lose to Cal? I am not even going into Notre Dame and their squeaker vs. and unranked UCLA team..

Geoff has nailed it here. That should shut down the "unimpressive wins" theme for at least a week. Cal's unimpressive win over UW, Oregon's unimpressive win over WSU (which was so unimpressive it was actually a loss), UT's unimpressive win over Nebraska...you can't win every game by 50 just by showing up.

Well, I'm starting to be a beliver again. The Washington teams made me a beliver this weekend that USC is on track. The only possible issue is with JDB and his 2nd half against ASU. Other than that, he has been right on target. Cal will be the toughest game, but I believe that USC just might go all the way again this year. With key players getting better all of the time there is still a chance.

FIGHT ON!

He is right.

Either OSU or UM will have 1 loss, and the only other team that might overtake us, West Virginia, will lose to Louisville. That leaves smooth sailing for the boys into the BCS game.

:o))

Don't forget the Arkanasas win on the road which looms larger and larger each week. The Razors may even make a BCS bowl game!

apparently you're not worried about the BCS either Scott, how could you vote WV #1?

How long before you erase this post?

Three guys, sittin' around playin' cards...

John Redcorn: "So help me, if we get into the NC game and get listed as an underdog, I am done with this loser program."

Art Schlichter: "Chill Dude. You can always jump on the bandwagon of the number one team in the country...THE Ohio State University Buckeyes ! And if USC does get into the NC Game, forget the spread, bet the under, it's a lock."

Pete Rose: "I never bet on Baseball...You guys goin' to the GA Meeting tonight?"

J.R., Your lifes beer mug is always "half empty"...nice outlook !

FIGHT ON !
