I'm glad teams see USC as "pretty beatable." This is a great position to be in because it alows for the other team to become overconfident in their skills until the juggernaut know as USC runs over their team. I also like the fact that they are playing in close games building character and confidence with each game.

As stated on this website, Kiffen now feels that he can use the whole playbook with booty. If he has been holding back and they have still been beating all teams, I can't wait until Booty gets real confortable and begins to just play the games as oppose to trying to remeber plays and thinking too much. When he just lets the game play out naturally, he and the other USC footbal neophites will be awesome.

"Pretty beatable" huh? We'll see Saturday! Washington does look good against the teams they played, however, none of those teams were USC. Saturday should be a good game for USC as we continue to evaluate the maturation of the squad. I honestly think it will not be as close as many people believe and the defense will have at least 2 takeaways.

Thank you Dashon.

If the game were at UDub, I beleive that the Huskies would win ,yet a home game at SC and I beleive the Trojans will prevail in a close one.

Right on time Dashon. Way to go.

What a fool! They are not that much better of a team than they were last year.

Larry Birdine, Andre Jones and now Dashon Goldson. The Trjan Family thanks you.

BTW, Dave, this game will not be close.

USC by at least 3 touchdowns. I predict we force around 3 or 4 turnovers....

A WONDERFUL ATTITUDE IS GRIPPING THE YOUNG TROJANS...THEY HAVE SEEN 10-12 INJURIES, NEW GUYS AT STRANGE POSITIONS, HUGE ROAD GAMES AND YET THEY R UNDEFEATED...THEY HAVE HAD TO BATTLE NUMEROUS NEGATIVES AND THEY REMAIN POSITIVE, EAGER AND 15 FR. HAVE BEEN INSERTED IN ACTUAL PLAY TIME...THE CONFIDENCE PETE HAS IN THEM GIVES THEM A GREAT REASON TO SWAGGER AND BE JUST A LITTLE PROUD THAT THEY SELECTED TO PLAY AT USC...

I think many of you are taking what he said a little out of context. What he was refering to was the fact that USC hasn't completely destroyed all of their opponents like in recent years.
I imagine there are a few people in Seattle that think the Huskies have an outside chance of winning...it's good to have a dream. But realistically, I don't think many are going to be placing large wagers down for UW to win. I think the best they can hope for is for UW to beat the spread. Unless they completely meltdown, USC will come away the winner in this one.

You are beatable! Anyone who almost loses to Wazzu is beatable! And your fight song sucks!

I recognize that this is a blog - but some accuracy in reporting is required. Goldson's statement that you quoted is only part of a longer sentence in which he said that compared to the Lendale/Leinart/Bush, this is a more beatable team but that they are still full of all-stars at USC. UW has been very respectful of the challenge facing them. USC 28, UW 14

Humbaba said:

I think by "pretty beatable" he means in contrast to the "pretty unbeatable" teams of the past few years, not that my Huskies are going to beat you.

If freakin' Wazzu can give you a fight, it'll be interesting to see the Cal or Oregon games.

The Huskies only chance is if they played an entire game, something they haven't done yet this year. The Huskies that were on the field for the first half of the Oklahoma game or the second half of the UCLA game are contenders, but the rest of the time it's 1-10 and 2-9 all over again. Sigh.

We'll see.
