Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Well, a little of both.
Is the sky falling...not just yet. I believe the next two road games will give the team ideal opportunities to work out the wrinkles. As a fan, I feel that we're expecting a little much from this year's team. The last few years we've come to expect nothing but excellence and we quickly feel disappointed when they don't deliver the oohs and aahs on the field. The team is due for a defining moment, and once it happens they will roll. With so many new faces in key positions we can't possibly expect them to pick up where they left off last year after losing the experience and talent on both sides of the ball.
Is everything great...yes! In Pete we trust!!!

I don’t know what happened with Rey, but I have attended a few of those fraternities in my day and I would be willing to bet one of the “Brothers said something to Rey that they shouldn’t off. You know the guy’s with the high fitting shorts driving Daddy’s BMW we are on this house so we are better than you guys. In all fairness I have met some very nice guy’s that are in fraternities and if that works for them that’s great. But nobody in a Frat house should be mouthing off to Rey or any of the players for that matter none of them want a piece of that.

Daniel, you are a smart man.
Carroll said it himself. We are 6-0 with a very, very young team. We've made mistakes, suffered key injuries, and we've still found a way to win. This is a new team with new opportunities, which still includes a shot at a national championship.
A defining moment would be nice indeed. Like Oregon in 2002, ASU in 2003, VaTech and Stanford in 2004, and take you pick (ASU, ND, Fresno, etc.) last year. It will come, and if we pass the test we'll be on our way.
Pete says we'll get there, and there's no reason not to trust him at this point.

i smell a travis thomas in our midst. Rey is not 21, PC needs to step up and punish him severely, at least for his own personal benefit. This is the second time in two years. Who's to blame when it comes to athletes being on the row and partying? The frat boys who actually live there? or the guys who should be resting up to defend the honor of our school?

here here....the last 3 yrs of world class teams makes one forget how most football games are played and won....this is not to say that this team will not perform up to the last 3 yrs level but it may take some time for the chemistry to appear. that's called experience and to be 6-0 with a team that has played only six games together is a feat in and of itself. they win and that's what counts...please recall the national champ ohio st. team of 02 that won a number of its games with field goals in the last few mins. they did what it took to win just as our team does what it takes to win and that's the bottom line..fight on trojans

Maualuga!!! Rey Rey! What the hell are ya doin man? Save the drama for the polynesian mama. These guys you're pushing around are on your side brah. They actually like you, if you let them.
Remember to walk and act like a Champion. No more alcohol. Drink 3 Red Bulls and take an Alka-seltzer, you won't be violent but you sure would be funny to watch.
We win together, or lose together... We are all the same colors: Cardinal & Gold... We are all brothers of the Dynasty.

Scott -
Can we get a list of guys who are likely red-shirting this year? When is the last day Carol has to redshirt someone?
Thanks.

Not saying sky is falling. I mean I was at the school during the J. Rob II years, and that was hopeless because everyone knew that J.Rob was there for the paycheck and didn't do much coaching except hand the coordinating to Hue Jackson. But, am dissappointed that offense is NOT improving. I'm not saying put up 50 points a game. Just stick with what is easier to execute, running plays, to set up the pass plays. Instead, the O-coordinators think they are Norm Chow and can set up the run with the pass. These coaches are not smart enough and experienced enough to call those types of games yet. So, they should go back to basics, smashmouth football.

One of these days Mauluga is going to really hurt somebody. I hope he gets real help, he obviously needs it. Sounds like he has real issues containing his aggression to the field. UCLA purged the CJ Niusulu's and Mannings, I wish USC would do the same. Miami of the West.

Are they redshirting Stafon Johnson? What's the deal I keep seeing him on the sidelines, but no playing time at all other than the one play in the WSU game? What's up? Somebody inform us on the East Coast. Thanks, and FIGHT ON TROJANS!!!!
