Maualuga: David, do you think we took Washington State lightly?
David: No. They're vastly improved and playing off home-crowd emotion. And you can get your teeth off my leg now.
Maualuga: Where you been dude? Jail? You know I own the police so don't lie.
David: Nah man, just on vacation in Newport Beach, where the Ferraris and Bentley convertibles sport girls in 'SC bikinis & USC flags flyin' as they drive by. You ready for Washington, Mr. Mauler?
Maualuga: I will search and destroy the quarterback. I will eat his face! And his helmet! There will be blood on the field! Broken bones! --
David: -- I got it, thanks... uh, you better not talk to Scott Wolf anymore...

Lets move on to Washington. Wazzou is history. I don't ever remember a game, especially one that we won, where there has been so much hashed and rehashed after a game has past. This is Thursday and everyone is still talking about the Cougars. Everyone needs to focus on the Huskies before we get bit in the Exterior by the Dawgs.

Seemed to me that they didn't have the enthusiasm pregame that they usually have. The part where Kyle Moore gets them all riled up with "Where my dogs at?" they seemed lethargic. No one really jumping up and down like they have for all the other games.
I wager that the trip all the way to the outpost that is Pullman on that Idaho border is a bit taxing. Especially after you had a road trip the previous week. I think maybe the team was just naturally lethargic.

Scott,
Get some new info here other than USC press releases or rehashing the Daily News articles. You should write about Tommy Tubberville and his rant about how the SEC needs a playoff to win the championship. Last time I checked, USC is about 140-40 in their last four games against that sorry conference.
Bring on the Fuskies...

Sweet post Mike. Seriously I am so sick of 'ol Tubbers that I can't even put it into words. Or can I...
Tubberville's rant was clearly less about him caring about whether or not CFB gets a playoff and more about him starting to shill for his team so that they have a chance to jump USC in the polls. Believe me had Auburn been a solid #2 we would be hearing didly squat from Tubberville this week.
And seriously I am sick of the SEC. They have talented players and terrible coaching. Of course they have 5 teams in the top 25 every year. Because everyone buys into the hype. How can you prove anything when all you do is play against yourself every year. Try scheduling a solid OOC foe with an actual offense once in a while on the road. USC goes to Nebraska and to Ohio St. in the next three years. Do something like that and then you can start bitching.

The Tigers scheduled and defeated Washington St., and Buffalo and still have Arkansas State and Tulane of the Sun Belt and Conference USA to play as out of conference opponents, and conveniently all played at HOME. They play 3 good teams this season, LSU(won 7-3), Georgia and Florida. Others include South Carolina(tried to lose), Arkansas(this weekend) and Alabama of course.
Previously when they scheduled a quality opponent, SC beat 'em both times!!! Maybe that is why they don't get out of conference often.

Tyler's right on -- Tuberville's a clown.
Pull those pants down from just underneath your armpits, stop whining about strength of schedule, and schedule somebody other than Tulane, Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Arkansas State, Ball State, Buffalo, Western Kentucky and The Citadel (and yes, Georgia Tech and Washington State) out of conference the last three years.
