Middle linebacker Rey Maualuga said there are two things he needs to improve Saturday.
``I missed assignments and I need to remember on cut blocks, you can't always take on the lineman, you have to go around him,'' Maualuga said.

Oh, and it wouldn't hurt if he also called out the correct slants on run plays. But it's hard to call out the most talented best playing defender when he's doing so much else well.

The Mauler is part Pit-Bull and Tazmanian Devil. He's an All-American who's just getting started.
All he has to do is watch game film of the Great SC alum Troy Palomalu. He runs full speed at linemen like an insane rhino, then at the last second he cuts around them, leaving a 300 pd pig standing with his eyes buggin'.
