Behind The Scenes

There was some talk after the game about cornerback Terrell Thomas challenging the defense to step up in a team meeting Friday night.
``We played just the first quarter or the third quarter of games,'' Thomas said.
Said USC coach Pete Carroll: ``I was really proud of him. He called on other guys. He said it was time to step up.’’

This is the kind of leadership that will get us rolling ...

Today's game was perfect timing to step it up.

Good for Terrell Thomas to make some noise, it's about time someone did. Hopefully the Trojans cleaned up some odds and ends today and are ready to put it to Oregon, Cal, ND, and UCLA over the next month.

I'm happy Terrell Thomas stepped up to lead the defense. Congratulations to him on his TD (courtesy of Sedrick Ellis and his kick blocking).

Its about time someone stepped up and made some noise. Leadership and attitude is what was missing from this team.

Jesus fucking christ! Why is everyone so excited about a win over the worst Div-1A team in the country?! So they beat Stanford 42-0. Wow.....doesnt change that they LOST to Oregon State!

It's about time. This team has had a country club "hey we are USC just lay down and die for us" mentality all year. I posted that we needed an attitude adjustment a long time ago and we better not get complacent after the loss. Maybe TT read my posts, haha just kidding.

I wish getting our team motivated to play at their highest level was a simple matter of getting a player to make a locker room speech. Oh well, it didn't hurt.

Eftsoons,

How about some classy language since there some younger people reading this board. I understand being critical and negative comments, but lets keep the replies clean at least please.

Forget Eftsoons,

Whoever looks at these before posting them could have censored it.

The real answer is, "What can we do to support USC and our team?" We have the opportunity to go to our games, which are all local, make noise and continue to cheer and support our team. More important, we can continue to be a "class act" which does not include poor language or relying on someone else to censor poor language and manners. We are SC.
