Big Back

USC briefly recruited Oregon tailback Jonathan Stewart. Initially his grades were an issue and then he lost interest.
``He was a big freak of nature,'' offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin said.

Stewart is a stud no doubt. He is most definitely not a short-yardage back as some genius posted back a few stories. The guy is big and fast and is hard to bring down.

What he has yet to prove in his college career is toughness and consistency. He got stuffed in the Ducks two tough tests on the road so far - Cal and Wazzu.

This is an interesting game. The whole Ducks team has yet to show up on the road this year with embarrassing efforts in Berkeley and Pullman. On the other hand, they are an explosive and talented team. The spread-option attack is hard to defense. That offense with Dixon, Stewart, and their WRs is flat out scary. But, when you look at what they have done against decent defenses, their production has been very mediocre.

It will be a interesting game. I guess I would have to go with the 5-year win streak at home vs. a team with potential that hasn't shown up on the road this year.

58-0, TROY

Some genius on here posted something about Stewart's "toughness and consistency" Kinda hard to see someone being a top RB with Oregon and getting 800 yards last year with no "toughness and consistency"

Whoever that guy was posted some long diatribe about Oregon which kinda resembled one of those Athlon sports previews mags that cost $10 and are completely wrong. haha

Anyway, he is a good back. Too bad his grades were a little low..doesn't matter USC is going to kick their butt.

WE DON'T WANT HIM! THE TROJANS CAN WIN WITHOUT HIM!

This game with Oregon is about recruiting. Oregon wants to continue adding to their roster that already carries 43 Californians.

I believe USC is going to send a huge message and pound Oregon this weekend 45-20.

5. Dwayne Jarrett, USC- Following up on Jarrett's tremendous 2005 campaign (1274 yards, 19 touchdowns) might have been too much to ask of anyone, but the impossible never seems out of the USC star’s reach. But 2006 has been a mere shadow of Jarrett’s earlier efforts. The early Heisman candidate has managed just two games with more than 63 yards and five total touchdowns.

This is from AOL sports.

Go on there and vote for DJ as the most disappointing player in America. It will make losing these last few games worthwhile to say the least!

I expect a Duck pounding this homecoming Saturday.

By 'Duck pounding' above, I simply meant that they will pound us, not the other way around.

We're going to lose to Dixon, Stewart, Johnson, Kent, and that explosive O.

Get Rey Maualuga out of Oscar's spot!

It will be a Duck hunt not a duck pounding. Oregon hasn't won a big game (without replay official's help) since about 2001. There are Oregon players who weren't even born the last time Oregon played here and it will be tough for them to come into the Coliseum.

And this is the real PH55, the one who has been using it since before the season started!

Yeah, you guys are so great. The only pac 10 team you beat handily was Stanford and it was without their QB. Not to mention your classy coach goes for it on 4th down late in the 4th just so he can make himself seem a little more powerful. Bring your Kleen Ex trojans, this homecoming is gonna be a wet one.

To Miguelito

poor little bruin.
I guess there is not much happening on the bruin blog these days.
At the very least we can beat the Ducks!

I suggest you bring the Kleenex on Dec. 2nd when we wipe away those 8 straight victories in the 90s with our 8TH STRAIGHT!
