Carroll On The Blowout

``We finally got the ball away from our opponent. My guys did not let the ball get away and that was great.
``We're back in L.A. from this point forward and we're really excited about that. It's been a long year on the road with a lot of trips and now we have the benefit of being home to finish the season, and we need to make the most of it.''

If Nebraska and Arkansas make the Big XII and SE Conf. playoff's; and we beat ND and the others, how can they keep us out of the champiomship game.

FIGHT ON AND FINISH STRONG!

I have a feeling (and hoping) Louisville loses to Rutgers at Rutgers, and Arkansas wins the SEC, and Rutgers loses to West Virginia.

Now we only have to leap frog Texas and the OSU/MU loser to reach the national championship.

Of course we have to win all our remaining games (so does ND and ARK)

Oh boy........

Hey I love USC too but let's focus on reality.

We blew out one of the worst teams in football. OK great. Even if somehow we beat Oregon, Cal, Notre Dame and UCLA, which I doubt since we just lost to an unranked team, that still won't put us in the BCS game. We do have a good SOS but losing to an unranked team also kills your BCS points. Texas, Auburn, Michigan, etc, are still going to be ahead of us. We are not going to jump from #8 to #2.

What we should hope for is a spot in the Rose Bowl to beat Michigan or Ohio st., or maybe the Sugar Bowl to beat Florida. But mainly we should be thinking about next year.

The way Oregon State is playing, they may well end up ranked by the end of the season. I believe, in 2003 Cal was unranked for most if not all of the season.
