``Notre Dame did not recruit him and he has a chip on his shoulder this year that he’s not being recognized (for post-season awards),’’ offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin said.

That's bs. Jarrett said ND pulled their scholarship offer thinking he couldn't make the grades. Can't get the awards if you aren't on the field for all 13 games (like Adrian Peterson). Stay one more year, stay healthy, get better acclimated with Booty, and you'll get all the awards you can shake a stick at.
Well it looks like DJarrett just blasted by Smardjia for all those post season trophies.

GOOD! USC needs a focused Jarrett to be UCLA and OSU. The Oregon St. game really proved to be the turning point for Dwayne. When he let the CB pick off the ball b/c he DID NOT WANT IT MORE, I thought I was going to puke. I questioned his focus and toughness. I wondered why somebody with such a perfect body, couldn't use it to position himself better (a la Mike Williams) to make sure he can only get the ball. Since then, he is really playing tough.... playing like an All American and the #1 WR in the country.
Last night Dwayne showed why he's #1. He should not be a 1st or 2nd team All American this year b/c he was too inconsistent. If he can string two more games like this, he will be the Fiesta Bowl MVP.
Good! Maybe he'll stick around another year.
