Heisman Talk
With November upon us, it’s finally time for voters to start looking at the Heisman Trophy race. So far, Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, West Virginia tailback Steve Slaton, Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan and Ohio State's Troy Smith are all making strong cases for the award, among others.
But it’s still too early and there are a lot of big games left before my ballot is due in early December.

Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News said he has seen Hawaii on television a few times this year.
"I've been impressed with how dominant they've been," said Wolf, who covers USC and saw the Warriors lose to the Trojans in 2003 and 2005. "To blow teams out like they have means something. I don't care who they're playing. Are they winning convincingly? Yes."
Withers and Wolf are also both Heisman Trophy voters.
Withers said he hasn't thought much about who he will vote for yet. Wolf said he is considering voting for Brennan.
"Oh, yeah. I'm looking at him. I'm not one of those guys who thinks you have to be on a top five team to win it," said Wolf, who first knew of Brennan when he was a teammate of 2004 Heisman winner Matt Leinart at Mater Dei High School. "Matt told me he was a good quarterback and to keep an eye on him."
smith frontrunner and quinn a close 2nd (depending on how osu/michigan and nd/usc turn out). slaton will be a distant 3rd - and brennan a non-issue.
Colt Brennan is putting up some pretty amazing numbers: 2,934 yards, 33 TDs, 5 INTs, 74.0 completion percentage, and a nation-leading 185.0 rating. He deserves consideration. Good work by Mr. Wolf in noticing someone who doesn't get a lot of publicity.
Brady Quinn??? The guy who almost lost to Stanford last year, did lost to Michigan St. last year, got blasted by Ohio st., and looked like a retard against Michigan???
If Brady Quinn deserves the Heismann I deserve a date with Heidi Klum.
We must do everything in our power to prevent Quinn from winning the Heisman.

you have a Heisman vote. Do not fall into the media rut of voting for an ND guy. Brady Quinn's numbers are no better than Bootys, and losing at home by 4 TD's should end all NC talk for ND and Heisman talk for Brady.
Troy Smith is runaway right now or he should be.
I would love to see Colt get it but that's not going to happen.
