Heisman Update
Interest seems to be very low this year but here's how I'm thinking with one more week for some possible shuffling.
Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan, Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith and Arkansas tailback Darren McFadden.

Good call on Colt Brennan, Wolfie. He deserves it.

McFadden has definitely got to be the favorite next year.

What about Dwayne Jarrett? - Pretty impressive

I completely agree with you Scott. However, with the media still having a bit of east coast bias (maybe justified this year),I bet that Steve Slaton / Pat White and almost certainly, Ted Ginn (along with his teammate Troy Smith to be sure)will get in the act... What about Mike Hart, Chad Henne or Mario Manningham ?

Brennan deserves some recognition but does not deserve the Heisman. Hawaii runs a gimmicky run and shoot offense. The QBs at Texas Tech have been putting up similar numbers for years for the same reason.
Go back through the stats for the past 5 years. Hawaii and Texas Tech are always in the top 10 TDs thrown for a reason - and it's not because they are balanced teams. I'm not saying they aren't good QBs but there's a reason Timmy Chang threw for close to 40 TDs too and he was barely 6 feet tall.
