Hey "Displaced Trojan",
Welcome to the new era of USC sports (albeit thanks to the success of the football team). USC is a football school and is on the verge of becoming a basketball school with the Gallen Center and signing of recruits like Mayo... Period.
If you become un-displaced next year, don't come asking for Basketball Tickets. No Mayo for you.

If this turns out to be true, then hats off to Tim Floyd for landing the No. 1 basketball recruit in the nation. PC has yet to land the No. 1 football recruit.
O.J. has strung this out so long that his signing is anti-climatic. Nevertheless, I'm elated to have him on board, though its only for one year.
I want to know which of his cronies is he bringing with him. We can rule out Bill Walker because he signed with Kansas. Is Aaron Progue part of the package?

That's great ... but any word yet on if Nani will be signing with Manchester United?

OJ is the bext recruit in the history of USC. Maybe we should just call him Mayo, bc OJ will get lots of comments. They have their whole class signed.
It will be fun to watch them. Can he get SC to the FF? It will be a joy to see.

JJH4USC,
LOL. Hey, I've already admitted to being a USC basketball bandwagoneer. If we get good, maybe I'll care. Until then, we remain a football school, period.
Besides, Mayo talks about doing for us what Patrick Ewing did for Georgetown. But, does he know that Ewing played four years for the Hoyas? Mayo is one and done. Then what do we have ... ?
Football.

?:
Was Mark Sanchez the Nation's Number one recruit? I will check and get back on this.
Thnx

Albert:
PC has two NC's, two Rose Bowls and three Heisman winners since 2001. Mr. Floyd has a long way to go in order to get near those achievements. I asked about Mark Sanchez if he was the 2005 Top Recruit. The answer according to Rivals.com 1/24/05 he was NOT. Derrick Williams(PSU) was. Patrick Turner was No.2, Maualuga No.5 and Sanchez No.7. Sanchez was the top HS 2005 QB.

Also JJH4USC;
Bill Walker signed with Kansas St. not Kansas.

Also, I believe the two top SC football recruits for next year are #1 and 2 in the nation, moved ahead of that douche qb that signed with ND. He's ranked 4 if I'm not mistaken.
Regardless, congrats to Floyd.
Fight on Trojans! I'm shaking with anticipation for Saturday...

BostonTrojan:
I am NOT disputing your ESPN finding. Rivals.com is generally regarded as the #1 recognized recruiting source.
According to this link:
http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewrank.asp?ra_key=1475
J. Clausen OC QB is #1-ND
Marc Tyler OC RB is #8-USC
Chris Galipo LB Servite is #13-USC
James Wilson OL Nease, FL is #14-USC
ALL the above players are five stars rated.
Also according to Rivals.com 11/17/06 2:29 PM:
http://rivals100.rivals.com/teamrank.asp?SID=880
USC recruiting class is #5.

Also PH55;
One would think by now that you would be able to match the correct post to the correct author. If you look more closely you would see that Albert inquired into Mr. Walker's college choice, not I. A proper post would say something like: "Also JJH4USC; You spelled Gallen wrong you idiot...it is spelled Galen."
Displaced Trojan, I have six tickets to the Galen Center so when the bandwagon gets going next year I will hook you up!
