Nellum To USC (Again)

Long Beach Poly track and football player Bryshon Nellum gave USC permission to send his letter of intent to the Pac-10 today, a week after the Trojans released him because of a mix-up understanding NCAA rules by a compliance official. Nellum must sit out a year of football by signing in November but he probably will concentrate anyways because he wants to try to make the U.S. Olympic team.
Nellum's decision will deflate some schools that wanted to sign him in the spring after USC released him.

Is there something missing?
The whole thing does not make sense.

Say Scott,

Before I forget...Thanks for the Tailgating video. I enjoyed the pre-game view since I'm here in Dallas/Ft. Worth area. We will be in CA for the UCLA game. Good Job, I like the mix of coverage. Read you everyday...to stay clued in.

Good

Welcome to the Trojan Family, Bryshon. We're glad you're coming. Get ready for a fun ride.

If the SC compliance office missed something on the first go around, then who caught the error to begin with?

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
