About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

I hope he goes to ASU. Lane sucks.
oh good. but what are the odds of that? 1 out of a million. ah what the heck, take my chances with that. peace out Kiffin.
I'm interested too.. interested that he take that job that is
What are the odds that Pete will give him a strong recommendation to get rid of him?
Granted he's not as bad as some would have you think, but he ain't that great either.
That would make a lot of ASU and USC fans very happy...
Now I know a bunch of people will post that they would be happy to see Kiffin go and that he doesn't deserve it, etc.
While it's true he's a little light in experience for a head coaching job right now, he's got two important things you need in a HC: he's a tireless worker/recruiter and he's very confident (if not cocky) in his ability to get it done.
Personally, I would not want to face Kiffin in the conference. I liked Ed O. but I had no fear of him becoming a great HC. I think Kiffin has the makeup and potential to be a great HC down the line.
PLEASE, ASU give him the job... PLEASE
I'm surprised there haven't been any comments on this yet. This is a chance for the Kiffin-haters to get rid of him. Lane leaves but saves face, Pete stays friends with Monte, it's a win-win-win. Or do we like Kiffin now that the offense has improved?
Carroll is said to be pushing Steve Sarkisian for that position. Perhaps Pete would like to see Lane Kiffin stick around for another year and then disappear to a school outside the Pac 10 conference.
I hear they're going for Sark as well.
What's wrong with the world if Norm Chow can't get more buzz?
On another blog, it has Norm Chow already picking out the drapes for his new place in Phoenix, so no need to talk to anyone else?! But it will be someone out of the SC Athletic Dept. family, current or extended, thanks to Ms. Love, ex-SC, as AD.
Pending a win over UCLA, Lane has taken us to the Championshipship game, again. 2 in a row for Lane. 1 was his rookie year. (perhaps we can win this one!). Who would any of you like to see in his place? Give names! Norm ain't comin' back! BTW. I'm not a Lane fan either, but results speak for themselves.
I hope he goes, ever since the game last year in Eugene it has been a roll of the dice on what your gonna get from him as a play caller. He has looked like a genius at times and like Bowden's kid at other times. Having said that he has been great the last four games, I guess the second half of the oregon st game as well. Remember when Bradford came out of the backfield against arizona st for a td in the corner of the endzone, that was kiffin at his best, i will dare say a true guru. However i can't help but remember the pain of watching the offense in arizona all the way till the 2nd half of the oregon st game. We need more consistency from the offense. Lane, you will have no problems recruiting kids to come play for you at arizona st, please go.
UCLA exposed Lane Kiffin's shortcomings big-time on Saturday. With the talent USC has, he should have been able to make half-time adjustments to help Booty out. Deep quarterback drops, long pass routes and a lateral rushing game isn't the way to beat a speed defense. He matched up against a good defensive coordinator with time to prepare and didn't make the grade. I hope he goes anywhere but back to USC next year.
TAILBACK U IS WHAT IT'S ABOUT. GARRETT, DAVIS, ALLEN, OJ, & EVEN "SAM THE BAM." SMASH-MOUTH, IN YOUR FACE AND STUDENT BODY RIGHT. THESE CURRENT RECRUITS ARE GOLD PLATED, MILLION-DOLLAR R/B'S. WHERE WERE THEY?? QB'S ARE FOR STYLE POINTS.
