Offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin said his more-than-usual happiness following the Cal win was partly because of his joy for Pete Carroll over the accomplishment of winning a fifth straight Pac-10 title, something he still felt proud about Monday.
``People have won national titles and even back-to-back titles but no one ever won five consecutive Pac-10 titles,'' Kiffin said.

Didn't we share the 2002 title and lose the head to head with Wazzou. I wouldn't exactly call that a P10 championship.
I would say its Wazzous. They beat SC, they went to the RB as the P10 champion

It's especially difficult for a coach in college considering you have a new influx of players every year and very few veterans like in the NFL.

Co-championships are considered championships. Tiebreakers are to determine bowl placement. The Pac-10 standings are determined by conference record, and have even more legitimacy now that every team plays each other round-robin style.
We won 5, but 3 are Chow's. The jury is still out on Lane. I have to give last year's champioship to Matt. Didn't he check off on a lot of plays? We have no idea what was actually called by Lane and Sark.
