Most Exciting Win Ever?
USC coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin said they were never more excited after a victory at USC.
``I’m probably the most proud of this victory because of the staying power demonstrates,'' Carroll said.
Kiffin said winning a fifth straight Pac-10 title made it more special, especially since it was supposed to be a rebuilding year.
``I’ve never felt that excited,’’ Kiffin added. ``With all the injuries and people leaving early, we were underdogs to Cal before the season, you guys know that. Nobody has ever won five straight before.
``It was the most excited I’ve been in the pressbox after a game since I’ve been here.’’
Kudos for using some tight ends pass plays tonight...was someone listening to my crys for more this this over the week???
Wasn't the most exciting game ever, but the result was awesome!

You got the tight end pass plays, yet the play calling was still pass on 1st down, run on 2nd, blah, blah, blah.
Everyone in the stands, at home, and across the field knew the playbook, yet they still could not stop us when it counted.
I am sure they took your comment into account when gameplanning. What's the course for next week, captain?

Why is Kiffin always being quoted by the press? I've never heard of a OC that is quoted on every telecast and nearly every story. He must be the master of self promotion...
Still a Kiffin hater because the game should not be that close in the first place. I will take my hat off to Nick Holt and the defense though because they played really well. But the offense is still inconsistent. How many times was USC in the red zone and did not get a touchdown? How many points did USC score off of turnovers? These are all worries that real football fans acknowledge. As far as enjoying the ride, hell yeah I am enjoying it and I don't ever want it to stop. I went to USC during the dark years of J Rob II and it sucked. So, if I my complaints and the complaints of thousands of almuni get to Kiffin's ear to improve on his playcalling and convince Pete C. to be more involved on the defense (because let's face it Pete is an awesome defensive coordinator) then I will keep critiquing when the critique is warranted.
