Why did he waste ANY time preparing for Army?
Well, when you play the Lifeguard, Starfleet & Coast Guard acadamies on consecutive weeks, you can probably get away with this kind of early preparation. Too bad FIDM didn't have an opening on their schuled, Charlie would have had 5 consecutive weeks to prepare for us.
There is such a thing as over-preparation. Don't be surprised if ND loses on Sat and then goes on to lose their bowl game. It's called putting all your eggs in one basket.
I think Iraq spent less time preparing for Army.

Maybe they've already fallen into the trap of putting too much stress on this one game and will under-perform as a result (like Arkansas did).
