Something To Ponder
In USC's 23-17 victory over Cal at the Coliseum two years ago, defensive tackle Manuel Wright made a key sack with the Golden Bears at the 9-yard line with 1:47 remaining. Cornerback Eric Wright recovered a fumble and made five tackles.
Both Wrights would be starting for USC today if Manuel didn't turn pro early and Eric didn't run into legal problems that eventually caused him to transfer to UNLV before the university suspended him for three years.

Eric Wright was best freshman DB ever at USC. Sad he found his ectasy elsewehre.
I am watching the game Cal USC game it stinks. Overall coaching is pathetic. Over play by USC is marked by the lack of discipline. It would NOT surprise me if they lose this game. Score Cal 9 USC 6 3:26 left 1st. half, 2nd. down USC at their own 20.
Something to ponder alright:
I have been following USC for a good while. They are totally [FLAT].. It does NOT take a FB genius to asses that. The only lucky factor is that they are behind by ONLY three points going into the second half plus they get the ball first. Notice that I stated lucky factor, please do NOT confuse that as a consolation or a positive point. I'm sorry I do NOT see anything positive. Don't forget to add penalties, dropped balls and common sense. Instead of just dropping on top of Cal fumbles they tried to pick it up and run with the ball>pathetic.
WHERE SHOULD I TRANSFER!?!?!?!?!??!
Is Darrel Rideaux drunk?
He sounds really awful right now on Trojan Recap.
He shouldn't be on TV
He is really bad - maybe the worst speaker I can remember seeing.
So where is el capitan's brilliant post game summary? USC has always been a second half team under Carrol.
What was pathetic was Jackson mouthing off on his way to the tunnel at half time. Another prima donna that desided to bolt elsewhere when he wasn't promised a starting position.
And don't worry about Stafon. He will still get his chance. This year will make him work much harder over the spring and be ready for next year.
dbmitch:
You got me man and I don't have a post game report except I am glad like you that the Trojans prevailed. By the same token you must admit that for 3/4 the Trojans were hibernating, flat and out of synch. CJ Gable looked like he's been a regular RB on this team-just awsome! That brings me to this: [EXPERIENCE]. The huge amount of playing time given to the freshmen players has resulted in valuable experience to those young players. Believe it or NOT Mr. Lee Corso the giant critic has made that a point, go figure.
Speaking of RB's does anybody know what happened to Marc Tyler? ALL I know is that he got injured and is done for the season. DE Everson Griffen from AZ also got injured and I don't know any details , either.
Last but NOT least what is the deal with DeSean Jackson's story? Is it true as he claims that a "confidential" leak ticked him off, changed his mind and signed with Cal? Better yet, what is true and NOT true about my last question?
Thanks
El capitan,
It looks like MeSaun is quite the spoiled brat. From reading other comments, it sounded like he wouldn't even get the #1 shirt, and coupled w/a rumor that he wouldn't start and that SC leaked his commitment, he changed his mind.
We've had cocky receivers before and it doesn't add to overall team harmony. Remember our famous receiver #19 (I don't want to mention his name), he's even having problems in the pros because of his attitude...
