Stat Change
USC revised the Oregon stats today, changing a 37-yard run by Dwayne Jarrett to a 37-yard pass completion from Booty to Jarrett. So Booty now passed for 213 yards instead of 176 and Jarrett caught 7 passes for 91 yards. These changes usually take place after Pete Carroll or another coach reviews the game film and overrules the ``Ned Miller and staff'' stat crew.

If my memory serves me right, this was our first play from scrimmage . It certainly was a pass play. The stat keepers must of been up getting a cup of coffee. It was the same play we used to open the second half but that time it only went for 1 or 2 yards.
Beat the Commies!
Whatever.
While they're at it, why not go back a change the Oregon State score for the Trojans from 31 to 40......
Doesn't it matter if the ball was tossed for lack of a better term, backwards i.e, a lateral as opposed to forwards?
Hey, helps the passing stats. Opps! hurts the running stats. Opps, not too many total yards for scoring 35 points, regardless.
Phew. That changed the game. Thanks for the report.
I think you HAVE to change your report card, bro. I am joking. You are dumb.
Yeah, but isn't an overhand pass behind the quarterback considered a lateral, thus classified as a running play? If dropped then its a fumble. I don't think stats were sleeping; they just considered the pass a lateral. It could go either way, but as a pass it pads stats for two high-profile guys.
The stat keepers thought the pass to Jarrett was backwards. That makes it a run. Usually the official signifies this. It's a pretty straightforward call. On the TV broadcast, the FSN crew called it a backwards pass.
Good. I can now look forward to kicking some Commie Butt since that was changed.
