Could he also start a USC men's football (soccer) program at the same time?

Scott,

Nice try with your ManU shirt at the ND game. Glad to see that you had a chip on your shoulder during your interview video. You are sorry.

Boy, Arsenal is really playing at top form now!

Go Mike!

Go Gunners!

Hahahahahahahaha

Dowie should replace Wenger instead of Millander.

Munro,

All about being a fan. Take the good and the bad. All I know is that Arsenal is the only team to beat Man U this year in the EPL.

Still is the FA, the Carling Cup and the Champs league to go for.

Mike,

Your like the loser Bruins. You'd be happy to go 2-36 if those two victories were against the "right" team.

Your side smells. Face it. And it isn't getting any better.

Reds agree loan deal for Larsson

United have confirmed they have agreed a loan deal for Henrik Larsson.

The 35-year-old striker will arrive from Swedish club Helsingborgs on 1 January and will remain at Old Trafford until 12 March.

Larsson is delighted with the move and is looking forward to the challenge ahead.

"Sir Alex Ferguson called me last night and welcomed me to United," said Larsson. "We spoke a little about a match and how it looked with Christmas and the New Year.

"United have been after me before - after the first or second season with Celtic. It feels nice to come and play for such a big club.

"I will go over there to play as much as possible - but I have no idea of how Ferguson wants to use me. Am I a back-up? Yes, at the beginning; I probably won't play every match from the start. But then you will see what I can contribute and how things are going.

"I know the players, they are very good, " he added. "I have played against many of them, so it's not a new thing. I hope the situation will be easier, knowing the faces and names.

"For me it feels like a very fun thing to contribute at such a late stage in my career. We have not discussed a jersey number at all. We will see what it will be."

Larsson returned to his native Sweden in July after two years at Barcelona. In his final game for Barca, Larsson collected a Champions League winners' medal after assisting both goals as a sub in the 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Stade de France.

The loan seems to suit all parties, providing United with another attacking option and giving Larsson the chance to maintain his match sharpness before the Swedish season starts in April. Larsson, who won Europe's Golden Boot in 2001 with 35 league goals for Celtic, will be eligible to play for United in the Champions League if they reach the last 16.

Munro,

You missed the point of my message. Being a fan means going trough the thick and thin.

According to you, I guess the EPL is what matters only? Seeing that ManU hasn't won it recently (or less recently than Arsenal to be exact) I guess the logic breaks down a bit. That's right, Arsenal was in the final of the Champions League last year (the real test of EUROPEAN football) and Man U was 4th in the qualifying round and didn't even make it to the UEFA cup. Carling Cup silverware for sure but not a real quality performance. I guess I'll take the FA cup more recently than ManU as well.

Ive been to Old Trafford multiple times and have enjoyed the part where the team parades all its silverware. Seems to me that all trophies matter as all have their own complexity and rightful benefits attached. So let's see what happens to the other competitions.

Good luck vs Middlesborough today. Arsenal 3 : Tottenham 0. Eventually we'll get back Gallas, a healthy Henry, Cygan, Rosicky and do better.

Mike,

No need to give history lessons or tired reports on your trips to Manchester. Conserve your limited brainwaves.

TODAY is all that matters.

And here it is (I'll keep it simple four you).

Arsenal sucks and you are an arse.

The end.

Munro,

You really don't get it do you? The EPL is the best league in all of sports because of the fan support which is spread throughout goodwill toward others and their teams. Nice win versus Middlesborough. THought for a brief minute it would end in a tie but quickly went back up 2:1. Deserved victory.
