If Cal is the only “good� team that UCLA played, which infers that Notre Dame and Oregon are just “okay� teams, what is Dorrell's assessment of his own program?

I think he meant, That person who shall not be named from that other "school" in Los Angeles which shall not be named was saying that of the three, Cal was a little better.

That's like saying one of the pep boys is better than the others, or one of the three stooges is better than the others or.....

I don't think Dorrell means "good" as just good. He obviously respects all the teams he's played but thinks Cal is the best of the three.

Maybe the football team of the University of crap or whatever UCLA stands for should worry about how they let Notre Lame move 80 yards in under 1 minute instead of handing out assesments of other teams.

I watched Oregon last week they aren't a team of supermen..we can beat them.

After watching that interview with him on "60 minutes" I am sure glad he is not the USC coach, that guy is a rude jerk. He deserves whatever he gets.

We should grow the grass really high at the Colisseum so Charlie the fat man hurts his knee like Reed did, cause there is no golf cart with enough horse power to move all his weight..he would have to have one of the assistant coaches run the game :o))

I am a USC Alumni and fan for over 35 years but to see such hateful postings about Charlie Weiss is really a sad commentary if that is what USC fans have become.

Charlie Weiss knows he has a health problem and almost died for trying to correct it. Just remember while you make fun of his appearance that he has two SuperBowl rings while the closest you will ever get to one is looking at the ring in your toilet bowl.

This is the real PH55, the one who has been using the moniker since early in the season. Let the record show I think we will be in the Rose or Holiday.

Notre Lame huh? I forget about the high powered teams the Trojans have been squeaking by. They beat Washington 26-20, they beat ASU 28-21 and WASU 28-22. Yet, you Trojan fans consider your teams superior to everyone else. Then the Trojans lose to an unranked Oregon State team. But you want to bash Notre Dame. I'll be the first to admit that they got crushed by Michigan, but Michigan was ranked at the time. When USC played all of the aforementioned teams, they weren't ranked. Go ahead put down ND, but your team hasn't exactly been playing like the team you seem to think they are.

yeah I am getting my worry beads out for that big match Notre Shame has this week vs. Air force, can they handle it??? I am worried about next year, too...man they gotta play Duke AND Army AND Navy!! Man!! They got it so rough. Gees what a team they must be awesome to handle that schedule...I am glad we get to watch Charlie the hut every week and Notre Dame roll up 500 yards vs. the coast guard academy football team and then talk about Brady Quinn for heisman..Wow that's good for college football.

USC beat Washington and ASU, Nebraska and Arkansas. Neutered Shame would lose to all those teams.

The "irish" game isn't even on TV this week because people are tired of watching the dumbers play some second rate team and dance in the end zone.

Notre Dame is too scared to even play Boston college anymore.

Al I understand what you are saying but, beyond what all Notre Dame fans say about USC:

"They are a dirty team"

"They are all on steroids"

"they cheat to win"

"Pete Carroll lies to recruits to get them to commit"

"Pete Carroll is a terrible coach who plays games with everyone"

Charlie Weis, in all his arrogance, has never had many good words for USC, either. Or any other team.

It's nice you are trying to be show some respect to ND and ND fans. I tried that, also..trust me you won't get any back. I left the safe confines of USC boards and talked to the Notre Dame people back in August...ugh..I will never do that again.

Think of what you will about Charlie Weiss but remember he had the decency and respect to come into the USC Locker room after last year's game and wish USC luck going the rest of the way. How many other opposing coaches do you know did the same thing? I think you got the wrong guy to rake over the coals. Why don't you spent your energy on going after the ex-USC coaches who were so willing this summer to help opposing teams defeat this year's team.

Everytime Weis does anything remotely good he makes sure that there are cameras there to catch it.
BTW-Pete Carroll was not thrilled Weis went into the locker room without him there or even asking permission.
Weis has been incredibly disrespectful to Pete Carroll. Lastly, recruiting is not going as well as Weis thought it would either.
After getting Clausen, PC has beaten his ass up and down the ladder for Galippo/Tyler/James WIlson with more beatings on the way. Weis is not half the recruiter that PC is.
