Another Transfer?
USC defensive tackle Walker Lee Ashley has left the football program and is trying to decide whether to return.
``He left,’’ USC coach Pete Carroll said. ``I’m not sure if he’s coming back. It’s not finalized. I did talk to his dad and we’re trying to figure out the best thing for him.’’
Ashley denied earlier this month he would transfer to Minnesota, which is where he was raised.
``I have no idea where it came from,’’ Ashley said. ``I’m cool right here. It was all just rumors.’’

the floodgates are opening, started with A.Perez, now Ashley, S.Johnson will be next and J.Schweiger and M.Morgan. What a great message to send to the recruits this year..players are un happy at USC and are leaving...
how much PT did Ashley get this year?

1. PC did NOT promise them a Rose Garden.
2. Secondly the recruits knew they will have to earn their playing time by competing. That is explained to them as well as to their parents. What is wrong with that fair play policy?
3. AP was one of my favorite USC recruits and you did NOT hear me cry foul.
4. CFB is competitive business and it is NOT any different than your work place. If you don't produce in your job, believe me they will find somebody else that can and you are gone no questions: ASKED-BYE, GOT IT?
5. Finally you are sending the wrong message NOT USC NOR PC.

Geez 66 what a whiner! Have you not heard of "compete for playing time"? That's the core of our program! That is why the cream rises to the top. WLA is a problem. He initially couldn't or didn't take care of his business in the classroon...thus arrived later than expected..Now he cant beat out anyone to get himself onto the field! So tell me 66, what better than to relinquish a "obviously wasted scholie"..sounds like a win win situation for SC. Hey, if the young mister Ashley cant cut the mustard, let him cut the cheese instead. We could offer his scholorship to someone that can add to our team instead of just fester in the background. I honestly think that he was a classic underachiever anyway..he sure had lots of opportunities to crack the lineup!

Whine away 66...that seems like all that you've actually done on this blog since you figured out typekey....Now if you could figure out how to only post your messages one time...you might be able to compete for playing time here at Scott's blog. Hey, if he can't cut it or if he is not happy then he should move on. I wish him luck.
What a flake - he gives SC only one year after PC gave him a second chance to qualify academicaly. I doubt he will ever be heard from again.
