Deja Vu

Arizona State athletic director Lisa Love, the former USC women's volleyball coach and administrator, hired Dennis Erickson according to published reports. Love was at USC in 2000, when the Trojans offered Erickson the head-coaching position, only to have him sign a 7-year, $7 million contract this very weekend six years ago.
I'd say every Pac-10 coach just got a lot more worried about the Sun Devils than they were when Dirk Koetter coached the team.

Very interesting. I'd prefer Tempe, AZ to Moscow, ID any day. Erickson is a good coach, and had a good year at Oregon State. But that was it, one good year.

He's also an opportunist that will jump whenever another team comes calling.

IN PETE WE TRUST!!!

How many points did Erickson put up on Pete Carroll in two years? A grand total of 10. I'd say Pete isn't all that worried. Seems like after that great 11-1 season at Oregon State DE has fallen off the wagon.

Well, here comes another credibility hit to the Pac 10. ASU may make a mini run but when the dust settles, they will end up at or near the bottom of the Pac and on probation thus becoming a national embarrassment. Character guys bring pride to an organization...Love went after the likes of Erickson and Price. Just wondering if "win now" is going to determine how long Lisa Love keeps her AD job. Sure does say alot however about the way Norm Chow must have interviewed...unless they just thought that he might not be any good at recruiting also.

You mean worried about the safety of our women and children when ASU comes to town? If what he brought to Miami and Oregon State is any indication, you would be correct.

The only true concern about Erickson coming to town is whether the liquor supplies will hold out.

Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
