Dude, I Lost My Award

Did you notice last night's football banquet did not give out an award for the UCLA game, even though it's been a tradition to honor players for the UCLA and Notre Dame games.
Apparently, those awards will only be given when USC beats its rivals from now on.

I think that's a good precendent. No one should celebrate when the team loses to a rival.

can you GO ONE DAY without mentioning the ucla loss. You love it wolfie!

It's going to be worse vs. Michigan. Lane "Ol' predictable" Kiffan and Sarkisian will run some more of their high school offense play book and expect UM to lay down for USC. Except UM is on a mission, if OSU loses they still might have a shot at the NC. They are out for blood, my friends. They want to win by 20-30 points. Expect onside kicks by the Wolverines when they are up by 10 points. It's going to be real ugly for Troy unless PC opens the offense way up and they are the opposite team of what I saw vs. UCLA...the bumbling, stumbling, penalty a minute club that was lucky to get 1 TD...

That was a little harsh but I agree with that...Michigan is po'd about that 2004 rose bowl loss to USC and wants revenge. And since it seems a 4 year old with a learning disorder can outcoach Lane Kiffan, I would say USC is in serious trouble.

UM 35 USC 14

yep...After UCLA, an unranked team, beat the Trojans down good, (Who were lucky to get 1 TD) I can't imagine what an angry Michigan team will do to them..

OK here are my awards:

Worst performance in a football game by an OT: Kyle Williams

Worst play calling over an entire season: Lane Kiffen/Steve Sarkisian

Worst performance by a QB in big time games: JDB

Worst performance of the year with the BCS title game on the line: USC

Special Merit: biggest Choke of 2006: By USC, Dec. 2 vs UCLA

soon to come: First time Pete Carroll loses by 20 + points: 2007 Rose Bowl

OK, I was never 100% sure, but after this post the last bit of doubt just left my mind.

You are the Devil.

They did not honor the game captains or include game highlights in the video reel either:

the days are numbered for Lame kiffen and Sarkisian. I am serious. Think of the pathetic offensive showing we had this year. Considering we had a team with JDB, DJ, Smith and E. Moody, some of the best college football players in the USA, and we got 1 TD vs. UCLA, 1 TD on a fake punt in another game, and just generally looked inept on offense the whole year, Lane will be working at subway soon. To be honest, with DJ, SS, JDB, Fred Davis, and Chauncey, we could of had a record setting offense, with a real OC.

We will be about 3/4 of the way through next year, have a 7-1 record and again, be squeaking out 20-19 wins over washington, and PC will FINALLY get rid of Lame. I realize PC feels he owes Lame but he has to keep his job also.

Start your clocks, guys...

You make it sound like someone actually deserved an award for that game. No one did. Get over it. I'm still trying to...thanks.

Scott, how do you award failure? We didn't win, we played sloppy and had very little to cheer about. Do you get paid for when your columns need major editing, or does your professinal pride allow you to sleep comfotable at night knowing what you wrote was one sided and opinionated.

Worst, most full-of-complaints-in-a-10-2-season fans: USC fans on the internet.

Go watch the Pistons if you're into whining and complaining all the time. It's football - be a man.

Curious, why so late to this party, Scott? Too busy coming up with a 2007 pre-season poll showing UND (University of North Dakota) as No. 1 to do real reporting? Nice attempt to cover your ass. Maybe pay attention at the banquet next time, so you don't get scooped by half the internet.
