Football School
Does anyone want to go to the Rose Bowl?
The ticket office sent students an email last night saying they would sell tickets this morning that were unclaimed by student lottery winners. About 300 students were lined up by 9 a.m. and all were told they would receive tickets.
Another student said she was trying to sell her tickets but probably would give up because of a lack of interest.

Obviously, those who don't want to go have been to the RB stadium, before. Who can blame anyone for not wanting to attend anything (other than a national championship game involving the Trojans) at that poor excuse for a football stadium. And UCLA wonders ehy they don't sell out every game as the Trojans do.
I want to go, but my team did not make it to the Rose Bowl and I have tickets to the Emerald Bowl.
spoiled kids.... they should have been there during the dark ages...the 90's.
I sound like my father but it's true.
Hey, I will take 2 tickets!!!!
Fight on!
Lack of interest? I'll take a couple tickets from any of those students.
No one wants to go to a loser bowl. Both teams are losers.
They do not have shot to play for national title!
FIRE KIFFIN!
I am intrested for the right price. How much are they going for?
this shows just how spoiled a lot of the students have become. granted it does hurt to "settle" for the rose bowl, its still the rose bowl nevertheless. most of us who attended SC during the Jrob2, Hackett years woulda given a quite a bit to be in the same situation.
I care......
Did your father also hide behind a failed coach's name?
Ugh... What a whiney, bratty fan base. This is gross. It's the second biggest bowl game this year. I'd fly out from NYC to go to the Rose Bowl if I could get my hands on some tickets.
Reminds me a bit of the hangover at UCLA post Miami, when a lot of students chose not to go to the RB we "settled for" vs. Wisconsin. As many of you said, it's still the RB and still a hugely important game.
P.S. REALBruin - I have said many times, I hope USC wins. Makes the P10 (and UCLA) look that much better. Stop being so butthurt.
The ticket office did play a major role in messing up student distribution. They emailed students at 7am on a Monday morning, a day between when classes ended and finals begin. Students were given less than 24 hours to register for the lottery, no prior notice, and the link to register was invalid for many students, instead taking students to register for a basketball lottery. Between the end of classes and start of finals some students take a long weekend in Vegas, or ski, camp, you name it they do it, and they don't always get to email with less than 24 hours notice. Thanks ticket office for not making a single helpful change after the Nebraska game.
I know you love to play antagonist Scott--the sure sign of one who is desperately seeking recognition--however this is bogus.
I am a student at SC. There may have been more tickets than normal that students who won the lottery didn't pick up in time, but they were picked up immediately by other students who didn't win the lottery. I actually tried to go get some of these tickets you say no one was interested in, but they were gone w/in a couple hours.
Of course demand and resale prices are going to be less given the circumstances, why wouldn't they?
I'll take two tickets, my daughter would love to root for our Trojans on New Year's Day!
Let me know where I can get these tickets.
I'd love to go to a real bowl like that but I already have plans for the diamond walnut bowl..
Lack of interest?? are you nucking futs?? I know 2 people (non SC people) who just sold their Tix for $600 a piece (2) and $400 a piece (3)........there are no "cheap" tix to this game ..and believe me . SC and Michigan will be well represented at the RB ........its a classic PAC10 vs BIG10 matchup AND we are not ucla, we will not sell our tix for Starbucks money.WE support our guys at ANY bowl.....("On Wisconsin" sound familiar??)
PLEASE FIRE LANE KIFFIN
