USC coach Tim Floyd suspended freshman guard Kevin Galloway for two games after Galloway returned late from Sacramento from the Christmas break and missed practice Monday and Tuesday. Galloway, who averaged 3.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in 12 games, will miss Thursday’s Pacific-10 Conference opener against Washington at the Galen Center and Saturday’s game against Washington State.
Forward Nick Young did not practice on Christmas night because of stomach flu while center Abdoulaye N’diaye left practice early because of a shin injury.

Here's one vote of confidence for Coach Tim Floyd.

I remember feeling sorry for the guy when he took over the Chicago Bulls in '98, with no Jordan, Pippen and Rodman. Kind of like inheriting a Ferrarri without an engine or gear shift. But he taught me to not to feel down on yourself, and put a good face on and to do the job. I mean, it was a thankless task (like playing fullback for a crappy team like ACLU). Much props to Coach Floyd, and he's turning things around here at SC.
