Horror Stories
Some fans who went to the Rose Bowl say they did not get seated until the end of the first quarter because it took so long to move into the stadium. There were also complaints that concession stands ran out of water. The Rose Bowl has less than a month to see these problems get corrected.

Tunnell 11
20 minutes but made it before kick off
Water rumors were abound at the T11 concessions at half time but when I got to the cashier she said she had plenty of water
Place is a dump though

The water problem is something that can be corrected, but the ingress and egress problem at the Rose Bowl is permanent.
At the 2004 USC-UCLA game, I sat near Tunnel 24. The architecture is such that you have a great many people trying to enter an extremely narrow space, with very narrow aisles. It was the second quarter before the tunnel traffic finally cleared up.
The bottom line for a capacity event at the Rose Bowl: go into the stadium at least an hour early, or be prepared to miss portions of the football game.

You forgot to mention the truly classless UCLA fans who in all of their drunken beligerency threw drinks, food, and other items at USC fans who were there with their kids. Not to mention I saw one drunken idiot actually slap a girl!! The Bruin fans are quickly becoming the Raider fans of college football, despite how smart they claim to be. If they were so smart, they wouldn;t cheer for such a crappy team.

The RB is the worst venue I've been in for college football. At 2006 RB, you had better take care of all business, food, etc before you entered the stadium, or forget it. The seats are horrible, the slope is horrible. The parking is ...well, need I say more? Thank goodness for the screens, if you are fortunate enough to be seated where you can see them. My son and I agreed never, ever to go to the RB stadium for any reason other than a national title, again.

Poor fan behavior goes both ways. I can't tell you how many times I've been mauled and abused at the Mausoleum. In fact the SC football player alum sitting behind me described SC fans as the Raiders of college fans. I don't condone any of it, but don't pretend that sh$t doesn't go on at the Coliseum. Before Sample banned beer, your stadium was a cess pool. Now, it's just a pit.
USC Guy - reality just can't set in huh? We kicked your ass.

I found that UCLA will only give handicap seats to people in wheel chairs or on crutches, which seems weird since their are a million other infirmiries that could hinder a persons ability to reach regular seating. I've been to every USC home game and every Bowl game (including the last two at the Rose Bowl) and never run into a problem like this before. My father and i had to watch it at the car and have vowed to never set eyes on that stadium again. At least until we get over it and go to the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1st, when someone other than the Bruins are running things.

Where do we register our complaints to the a-holes wearing baby blue?
The Rose Bowl was much worse during the BCS last year. At least we only had to dodge guys in burnt orange wearing chaps.

I think that my favorite story from the event was the drunk Briun who chanted "I'm smarter than you" like a little kid, and then promptly tripped and fell on his face.
Can't believe my tax dollars subsidize this.

13-9 is hardly an a$$-kicking, But I can admitt we got outplayed and outcoached nonetheless. I guess when you got to UCLA you look for every possible opportunity to celebrate you program's mediocrity. The fact that UCLA fans act like they just won a National Championship even though they are barley a .500 team speaks a lot to their low expectations when it comes to trying to keep up with USC. Their fans behavior on Saturday prooves it. I used to actually root for UCLA in bowls games for the sake of the PAC-10, but now I just want to see them get their hearts rippeed out, kind of like the Notre Dame game. Can't wait to see the Seminoles kick their buts in the Emerald /Toilet / Dust bowl. Reel Bruin, do you even know what its like to have your team play football in January?

I have also vowed never to attend a game at the RB again, unless it is the actual Rose Bowl game because then you can be assured that UCLA won't be involved.

What do you say to a program or city that directs you to specific spot for parking (Parsons) where it takes 1&1/2 hours to go 4 blocks only to find there is no more parking. I direct my son and wife to go catch the transit into the bowl area only for them to find 5000 people already waiting for the same. Between the parking, busing and the gates of the Bowl it takes 3 hours to get to your seats. What a mess! Screw Pasadena
