Lesson Learned?

Michigan defensive end Lamarr Woodley's eye lit up today when asked if he noticed what UCLA's pass rush did to USC.
``Being a pass rusher, I was definitely look at UCLA,'' he said.

That's his fine Michigan education showing through...their athletes all do well in their basket weaving and AIDS awareness classes. That's like back in 1989 when Jalen Roses' Grandfather or someone got into an accident here in detroit and wrecked his car while Jalen was playing a basketball game for UM. Except the question was, his grandfather was a janitor who made $22,000 a year and he was driving a $73,000 Escalade..hmmmm..where did that come from??? UM is about as dirty as they come, they are just really good at hiding it. As per the UM D-line, it depends which USC O-line shows up. They are like Jeckyll and Hyde...sometimes great like vs. Cal and Arkansas, sometimes horrible like vs. UCLA...

Please tell me you mis- quoted Lamarr, Scott. If you didn't, I totally agree with EloiPfeiffer and USC1966 on the grammer thing. Hope Lamarr gets his NFL big contract. Based on his grammer, (if quoted accurately) doubt he can do much else to earn a living.

USC1966,

You sound more like an angry Michigan State fan than a Trojan fan. Give me a break, Reggie’s parents’ house, Matt and DJ’s apartment, a USC fan saying Michigan is a dirty program is like a Miami fan calling Ohio State dirty. By the way the dirtiest program of them all is Ohio State. And if you don’t like Michigan fans, well maybe you should move back to beautiful Southern California where you can be surrounded by USC fans, and the occasional nuisance Bruin.

And get it straight, especially if you live in Michigan. 1989? Those were the Robinson/Rice/Voight days. Fab Five was 1992, 1993 where Jalen Rose was the one with the big mouth, and Chris Webber was the one that took money from a booster named Ed Martin.

It was Robert “Tractor Traylor, who also took money, that flipped his SUV in 1996 (but you were close). In the SUV was a High School recruit named Mateen Cleaves...the incident causing Cleaves to go to his 2nd choice school, Michigan State, which caused a shift in the balance of college basketball power in the state of Michigan and led to a Basketball Renaissance at Michigan State under Tom Izzo. Wow, I am filled with worthless sports knowledge.

And I don’t care if Lamar was “definitely look at UCLA or “watching the UCLA Game footage the Dude is a beast and won the Lombardi award. Our O-Line better be more concerned than this Blog with Woodley’s actions on the field than his limited grasp of the English language.

Fight on!

Sorry JJ I couldn't care less what the exact dates were or which corrupt michigan player got caught :) I don't pay attention to Michigan I pay attention to USC.

Kind of odd your nick is "JJH4USC" yet you seem to have a pretty low opinion of USC comparing them to Miami..Are you sure that's not "JJH4UCLA"?

USC 1966,

Don't worry about the date thing, your lack of memory is probably attributed to your old age...that is if you really graduated from USC in 1966. But, very creative...instead of JJH4USC you came up with JJH4UCLA all by yourself. You got me I am just one of those USC alums that loves the Bruins. Maybe that is why I consistently bash the Bruins and ReelBruin, Hermosa Bruin, Brewz and miguelito on this Blog.

Apparently you have either changed your screen name and have been hiding with the skeletons in your own closet or you are new to Scott's Blog. Because on this Blog, which you apparently don’t read...or don’t read very closely, Scott breaks the stories about USC whether they are good or bad...which doesn’t make him a Bruin either. If you are one of the old school homers that can’t acknowledge both the good and bad problems with your own football team and university, leave us a alone and go hang out with the other AARP members on the Arbolog.

Enjoy the weather in Michigan while we here in SoCal go to the Rose Bowl and watch USC beat Michigan under 70 degree sunny skies.

Fight On!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
