New Sheriffs In Town

Former USC safety Jason Leach and former walk-on Matthew Newhouse will officially be hired tomorrow as L.A. County Sheriff trainees. USC coach Pete Carroll will take part in a ceremony honoring Leach as the 100th trainee hired.

Hmmm, so now maybe Maualuga CAN say he owns the sheriff's department, if not the police.

Maybe they can catch Ron and Nicole's real killers.

Hitting: "I like to hit. If the ball is in the air and nearby, I'll try to go for it. But if it's out of reach, I'll just hit the person."

Good for them. An honorable profession, and if they behave properly, they will command the respect of both the public and their co-workers.
