One That Got Away

Michigan defensive end Lamarr Woodley, the Lombardi Award winner, was a player USC wanted four years ago, as the Trojans tried to sign him and Lawrence Jackson together.
"We recruited him," USC coach Pete Carroll said. "He's a great player. He's a real problem when you run at him or away from him."

I remember being in the hunt for him until the very end, but pulling him out of state proved impossible. No worries, Jackson is a helluva player and he IS a Trojan.

Speaking of recruits, Aaron had another stellar preformace over the week-end. The Lancers are state champions. Also committed for 2007 is QB Samson Szakacsy. Just watched his latest videos. He's very good! However, I wonder how he will do in another postion on either side of the ball so he will get playing time. Aaron looks better abd should win the starting position when it is his turn.

If you still want me, I will be waiting for you at the Rose Bowl on January 1st.
