Pete On Practice

USC coach Pete Carroll on today's first practice, which was a chance to get back in football mode after a week off.
``We don't need every day to plan for the Michigan game.  We need every day to get our football right.  It's a chance to look at other guys,'' Carroll said. ``We did that today.  We couldn't be more openly competitive about it.''

I wonder if that competition extends to "tipped balls", i.e., would he actually give consideration to Sanchez replacing Booty?

How many of our injured will be returning to play in the RB game? Who? If the right ones can play, it might give us the edge we will need to beat the Wolverines.

Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
