Trojan To Stanford?

Jim Fassel isn't actually a Trojan. He transferred from USC to Cal State Long Beach.

"Trojan for life" refers to someone who actually graduated from USC.

Fassel is not a Trojan, so news of his candidacy at Stanford is only of importance to USC due to their conference affiliation, nothing more.

I believe Fassel sat on the bench with Mike Holmgren while Steve Sogge and Jimmy Jones were starters.

This is important because he would make a good OC at USC!

I've changed my tune - let's KEEP Lane Kiffin, but only as an Assistant OC. Then in 5 or so years, he'll have enough time to learn how to be a REAL OC and can take over then. In the meantime, he can continue recruiting and learning.

Aren't you still a Trojan even if you didn't graduate? All the guys who left early for the NFL? Or anyone who had to leave for financial, personal reasons? Reggie Bush isn't a Trojan?

As for Bush -- we'll see just how popular he'll be around campus if his actions cost us sanctions and his Heisman is taken away. Is OJ Simpson, someone who never graduated, considered a Trojan by alumni and students?
