Could this actually be the time linebacker Clay Matthews get his first start with Dallas Sartz not 100 percent? In the past, it's been hinted that Matthews would start, only for Sartz or whoever else he replaced getting healthy in time to play.
``I think they are unsure (about Sartz),’’ Matthews said. ``I guess I would be the next linebacker but we’ll see when game time comes around. I can’t really expect anything.’’

wonderful...walk on LB starting vs. Michigan...put that together with our 57th ranked running game and crappy O-line and Michigan must be laughing themselves silly...at this point I would take 10 2 star recruits who can actually stay healthy. J.Pinkard,W.Harris,K.Thomas,C.Barrett,L.Jackson, DJ, J.Byers,H.Dennis,B.Hancock, S.Havili,C.Washington, J.Holland,M.Morgan and D.Ausberry have all been hurt this year..oh yeah also J.Tola and L.Miles..and that's just all I can remember

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
