Window To The World

One of the unique architectural qualities of the Galen Center is the huge window behind the north basket, which is supposed to allow a view of the Los Angeles skyline. But a top administrator said the reason for the window was more pragmatic: USC did not want to spend the money to put seats there.
Personally I'm just glad you can see that big, black beautiful cat across the street.

now all one needs is to get Petros back on the radio with you as his special guest...........

Tell us more about that big black beautiful cat, Wolfie. For instance, why is he flexed at the knees, and why does he have one paw on his hip? And why does he have a finger pointed at me? And what color are his eyes?

Nice to see Gale from San Pedro, with his regal beard, checking in ahead of me.

Hey, Nick Shammas (rest his soul) sold that corner to USC for a song...the least that the idiots in the athletic administration can do is let Felix look in on things!

That's interesting if its true. Means they may be able to expand the areana capacity some day if the hoops program continues to improve over the next few years and the fans start to come out.

damn I miss the P. Hey Scott, any word on his return to the airwaves?

bring back the p somewhere, somehow, sometime....please!!!!!! no other radio was or is as active with the local listener as the P...bruce in the hills of anacrime...damnit, no one else will read my emails on the air because i will make the host/hosts look foolish...just like the majority of the sports fans who know a thing or two.

At least we can all be reassured that Felix is still comfortable with his sexuality.

Now, if I could just afford to take my kids to a game or two this season.

What's wrong with the view of that big black beautiful cat?

Scott, give us an update on the P. Has the P picked up more shifts waiting tables at the Taverna in his free time or has he landed another leading role on CSI? Reruns of Pros v. Joes just isn't cutting it. I need a pop culture report update, I need to hear Peanut Butter Jelly Time, I need to hear how P feels that the Lakers are 2-0 against the Team of the People. And what the hell is going on with the Super Baby (Scott you could probably answer that)? (FYI - Sources that must remain anonymous in the USC Athletic Department have informed me that “miguelito and “RealBruin are actually the P's alter ego screen names, which after a few shots of uzo, he uses to rile up SC fans on this blog).

And is that the real Sabina Mora? If yes,...aargh! What is my commute going to look like on the 405 tonight?

If that lame ass Joe McDonald can get another gig on the radio, so can the P. Enough is enough, bring back the P!?

Anyone know what the real deal was P leaving the airwaves? P on TV is just not the same. And that BCS show with the stupid a-- Gary Barnett is almost unwatchable. I only watch it to see if the P gives any insight to the games.

What a shame. Seems like they have a shortage of seats at Galen Center. If only they had planned ahead.

Wolf -

That's nonsense. The cost to put seats there is a fraction of the amount they could potentially generate over the life of the building. It was either an architectural choice or a capacity choice as they may not wanted that big of an arena. Come on, Wolfie, don't believe everything you hear....

Won't someone start a petition and bring back Petros "don't call me Bro". We all miss him...freeway traffic is not the same anymore... the bozos on the airways are soo annoying. I know what...lets raise funds for a huge billboard and position it next to Felix!!!!

I would be very surprised if Petros is not on the air.. somewhere... in January.

Hi, Petros. It's Nikos. I still love you. Please come back to my radio.

May the Greek gods give you strength,
Nikos

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
