Abandon The Run

| | Comments (1) |

The key decision of the Rose Bowl occurred after USC got stuffed on two running plays in the first series of the third quarter. After that, USC threw passes on 27 of 29 plays with the other plays quarterback sneaks. The decision was made at halftime because USC coach Pete Carroll wanted to wait two quarters to see if the Trojans could run the ball.
``If we go down, we're going to go down with John David (Booty), Dwayne (Jarrett) and Steve (Smith),'' offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin said.
