Another Lure
Recruits are being shown drawings of the new football complex to be built behind Heritage Hall. The new complex will house offices, a weight room, locker room and an outdoor plaza. I'm just wondering if it will be called the Peter C. Carroll Center.

Comments
It needs to be called the John McKay center, plain and simple.

Matgv - I beg to differ. Pete C. Carroll Center is the appropriate name for the facility and they should erect a statue of PC while they're at it.

Agree. John McKay Center is only name that should be considered.

How about two statues?
Scott, when will you reveal the drawings to your readers?

How about the Howard Jones Center, since he's getting second billing now?

Why not the Jones-McKay Center, at least until some fat-cat ponies up 25 mil.

It sure won't be called the Scott Wolf center...
Or the OJ Simpson Center...
Or the Reggie Bush Center...
In all seriousness, John McKay deserves special recognition, although, unfortunately, it will be named after some unknown ultra rich donor.... A shame as either John McCay or Howard Jones or many of the other special icons of USC football who have not embarrassed or ashamed themselves in the public eye deserve this distinct honor...

It should be called the "Ormstein Complex" since he ran the sidelines of the practice field more than any coach. Thanks Reggie!

Inside Pauley, the court is named after John Wooden and his wife.
To everyone, it is not unusual for a major donor to have a university building named after them. Believe or not, many important people have attended the university that have nothing to do with athletics.
If the Galens don't get to have their name on the arena, there is no Galen Center or center by any other name.
