Although all eight Michigan-USC Rose Bowls have been sell-outs, because of the reduced stadium capacity, Monday’s attendance was the second lowest for such a match-up; only the 1948 Rose Bowl had a smaller turnout (93,000). Monday’s crowd was the “smallest� for a USC-Michigan game since 77,005 wandered into Michigan Stadium for the 1957 Trojan-Wolverine contest.
