Difference Of Opinion
A local columnist wrote this week that Pete Carroll's greatest accomplishment at USC was winning this year's Rose Bowl, considering the talent the Trojans lost from last season.
Many would say losing last year's Rose Bowl with Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and LenDale White was an even greater accomplishment.

Funny. Well, actually its not.

Scott,
What a stupid comment. You just try tackling VY. It doesn't look like they slowed him down too much in the NFL either.
Now, if they had lost the RB with Colt McCoy as the Texas QB, then that would have been a big accomplishment.
P.S.: Never thought it was an actual possibility, but next year with OJ Mayo the Trojans might actually contend for a title. Should crack the Top 25 after the Oregon sweep.

zero chance scott graduated from SC. Did your parents show you any attention when you were a child? Because I dont think Ive ever witnessed anyone so bitter. Maybe you were denied a roster spot on your JV football team in high school... as a senior. Maybe you were in the band at SC, and you realized how trival you are.

Lighten up kiddies, your feelings should not be hurt so easily. It's a funny line. Even PC might think so. (J/class of 74)

Ouch, Scott! If we haven't figured it out by now, that painful 2006 game is just never going to go away.

Very nice Scott. Again, lets blame PC for the Leinart pick, the Bush pitch, the video replay not working, injuries putting the Tings in the lineup, and Ryan Ting taking a sure INT and batting it like a schoolgirl!
How about instead of writing about another reporter's column and again talking about a team now two seasons old, lets get some info on the basketball team which should move into the top 25 after the drubbing of OSU?

Hey Dan - Why crack on the band, one of the hardest working groups on campus? Not many alums and students who spend any time at SC would say that.
Probably a zero chance YOU graduated from SC and you realize how trivial you are.
