Good Luck Kiff, we all hope you get the job. I am sure everyone will be very sad to see you go!

While I too have been critical of Kiff in the past, here's to hoping he leads Minnesota to a Big-10 championship in the next few years.

While not all of us have agreed with all of his play calls, lets remember he has been dedicated here and worked his tail off for SC. Don't forget that in his role as recruiting coordinator we have landed many top recruiting classes. Best wishes Lane! Whether you're a Trojan or a Gopher next season.

Hold it you are giving him(Kiffin) way too much recruiting credit. What is your "many" definition? If you look back Ed Orgeron was USC's recruiting guru and that is well documented to the that TSN Mike Farrell stated that coach O now with Ole Miss he can even recruit a raincoat. BTW Ole Miss recruiting class is #15 according to Rivals.com.

I will be happy to see someone else move over, or come into the program, that is less conservative and can be more creative with the crazy talent USC has on Offense. But let’s not forget that since Kiffin replaced Chow as OC, USC is 23-3, has won 2 Pac 10 Titles, has had 1 Heisman winner, and has had 2 BCS Bowl Game appearances (granted with Chow we probably would have gone 26-0, and won to National Championships!).

And the Capitan is correct, if you look at Rivals, Sarkisian, not Kiffen, is the big recruiter of all of the coordinators (since EO left). If Sarkisian leaves for the Raiders that would hurt SC a little more than Kiffin.

...that would be "two" National Championships for fear of being corrected by the Capitan.

El Cap and JJH4USC:

JJH4USC,
I hate to do this to you but I have to agree more with El Capitan here. Coach O was the recruiting guru and he could probably get John Kerry to join the Republican Party...
I have to disagree with though in that while all the assistant are involved in the recruiting, Kiffin has been the coordinator, making decisions on recruits with PC.
