Johnson Update
Some rumors surfaced last week linking freshman tailback Stafon Johnson to Washington because the Huskies heavily recruited him but Johnson claims he is not transferring.
"All this is rumors," Johnson said. "I'm not thinking about that.
"I get asked about it all the time. People mention Georgia or Washington because those schools were high on my list during recruiting."

Stick around Stafon - you'll get another shot in spring camp to prove that you can handle the load. Just remember last years camp and what happened.
I hope he means what he says.
Same thing walker lee ashley said....and Whitney Lewis....
What is the deal with the "USC fans" that constantly have to turn every thing USC related into a negative?? Since this board went to the sign in required USC1966 has been negative in about 95% of his posts?? What is your deal exactly? Are you enjoying this ride at all? Is this not good news even if you are skeptical??
If Chauncey goes pro Stafon is the natural choice to fill his shoes next season as long as he applies himself. Tyler won't be solid for about another year after his ankle injury and him and Green Green still have to learn the offense. The only other big back is Bradford who may be moved back to D in '07.
There will be a lot of competition next year at the RB spot - that is for sure but it's a wise move by SJ.
You go, Tyler!
Kind of odd your nickname is "USC 1966" yet you seem to have a pretty low opinion of USC recruits...Are you sure that's not "UCLA 1966"?
