Not So Minor
Freshman tailback Stafon Johnson's shoulder surgery is not exactly minor. Johnson said he is not allowed to participate in any contact drills for three months, which means he is expected to miss spring practice.
That means Johnson will not be able to make an impression in the spring and move up the depth chart. He said he originally dislocated the shoulder in training camp and estimates he did it seven more times during the season.
It's impressive to note he did not use it as an excuse this year and also refrained from complaining about being on the scout team and never threatened to transfer during the season.

Sounds like the young man is definitely growing up.
He may miss spring ball, but will definitely get his chance come training camp, as did Chauncey and this year's freshman class.
I guess the only question is why did SC burn his redshirt on a couple meaningless carries at the end of games?
It's coming though...the #2 RB prospect in the USA is not going to spend 3 years on the bench behind CJ Gable and Jody Adewale, and now, Marc Tyler.
I understand he was acting like a jerk when he showed up but I think he has learned his lesson and should be given PT. We already burned his redshirt, he is now injured and is going back to the practice squad. For how long do you think Stafon is going to put up with all this?
He will be on Oklahoma or Miami in 2009.
Oh and BTW I went down and did an oil change on my car and changed the air filter while I waited for type key to post my post
